On another note, it has been 29 pages since we’ve seen Alinua. While yes, the Rescuing of the Boy is important, I can’t help but worry for the second most dangerous person to be around while napping.
Until the comic proves me wrong I choose to believe Alinua is having a great time at the mermaid equivalent of a cat café with the comfiest bean bags to nap on. She is fine. She will show up with mermaid Starbucks once the volcano heist is done and the heist group has rejoined the siblings.
Tail starting to smoke… I know I should be worried but I’m giggling too much over Falst’s expressions in those two panels. D’awww!
Also the feeling in the pit of one’s stomach at that leap. Huuurgh.
I have never seen a more pathetic looking falst in my life and I love it.

Has Falst found a way in? Is Rakhn still adequately distracted? Has Falst just revealed that he is secretly a mage of the Chibi element? Is this a magma drain that connects directly to Rakhn’s throne so he can ominously pour molten rock from his hair as he holds court and makes surprisingly wise and fair decisions? Is this actually a hidden crawlspace for on-duty guards to secretly play Crokinole when they should be working?
When I looked at panel 4 and saw “SSS”, I didn’t realize it was claws scraping on a smooth surface, I thought it was depicting a sizzle sound. Faust landed on the pillar not far above the lava, so the pillar should have been extremely hot, since there is nothing down there to get rid of the heat that would be collecting in and around the pillar. Even if it was glass, which is a poor conductor of heat, I would still expect it to be too hot to touch.

When I looked at panel 4 and saw “SSS”, I didn’t realize it was claws scraping on a smooth surface, I thought it was depicting a sizzle sound. Faust landed on the pillar not far above the lava, so the pillar should have been extremely hot, since there is nothing down there to get rid of the heat that would be collecting in and around the pillar. Even if it was glass, which is a poor conductor of heat, I would still expect it to be too hot to touch.
