A ragtag crew of heroes embark on a journey to rescue a god from an immortal witch, stop a dragon from breaking the world, and maybe even talk about their feelings once in a while.

About This Comic:

Aurora is a fantasy webcomic (updates M/W/F) written and illustrated by Red, better known for her work on the YouTube channel “Overly Sarcastic Productions.” It’s been in the works for over a decade, and she’s finally decided to stop putting it off.

If you’d like to discuss the comic, it now has a subreddit, as well as a dedicated twitter and a tumblr where you can ask questions. There’s also a dedicated room on the channel discord for conversations about it!

Find Red’s general ramblings on Twitter, alongside her cohost Blue, at OSPYouTube.

If you’re interested in comic merch, it now has a redbubble shop! Textless chapter cover prints, rune designs and more!

How To Use This Site:

This website is pretty simple. It’s basically just designed for reading this comic. Since I assume you’re new here (seasoned veterans don’t usually read comic “about” pages), you probably arrived via the homepage and saw this at the top of the screen:

Then you clicked the “ABOUT/USER GUIDE” link, and here we are!

That big logo in the top left corner will always take you back to the homepage, which will always show the most recent page of the comic. Good place to click if you get lost!

The toolbar underneath it has a bunch of other links. None of them are necessary for the comic, but some of them might make things a little easier to understand:

  • The “ARCHIVE” link takes you to an archive page where you can navigate through the comic by chapter, or navigate directly to any page through the dropdown menu.
  • The “CHARACTERS” link shows you the characters currently present in the comic, and tells you a little bit about them.
  • The “EXTRA LORE” link, if you hover over it, will show you all kinds of links to little pages that tell you more about this world. If you click on it, it’ll take you to a page that lists those other pages.
  • The “CONTACT” link takes you to a contact form so you can get in contact with me if you need to.

But that’s all bonus stuff. You’re here to read a comic! Let’s talk about how that works.

As with most stories, it’s probably best if you start at the very beginning and go forward one page at a time. Be warned, the beginning is a little bit confusing. Most beginnings are. Everything afterwards makes a lot more sense.

When you’re reading a page and you want to go to a different page, this toolbar (located directly above and below the comic itself) is your friend:

From left to right, these five buttons will take you to: the first page, the previous page, a random page, the next page, and the last page. Usually, you’ll probably be going ahead one page, so you’ll mostly be using the gold arrow on the right – you can also click on the comic itself to move forward one page. You can also use keyboard shortcuts to navigate: the left arrow will take you to the previous page and the right arrow will take you to the next page. And if you’re on mobile, you can swipe left or right to go forward or back one page.

Bonus: if you hover the cursor over a comic image, you might get some funny alt text 😉

If you’d like to leave a comment, at the very bottom of any comic page you’ll find a form like this:

The instructions on that one are pretty self-explanatory. Be warned, however, that WordPress doesn’t let you edit or delete comments. Also, if you’re trying to REPLY to a comment, make sure you’re on the specific page for that comic and not the homepage, because replies posted on the homepage register as new comments for some reason.

The comic updates Monday, Wednesday and Friday around 3:AM PST, give or take an hour due to daylight saving’s time shenanigans.

We have a privacy policy because it’s apparently important for sites to have those – if you’re curious, it’s available here.
