I see the trend of “I don’t know (blank)” is still common in this generation. Usually the blank is filled with “what i’m doing” but this is still pretty close, along with the fact this guy kinda fits with the young paragon type that gets part of their worldview shattered.
tends to happen when you’re an avatar who loses their god-buddy :/ on the plus side I almost thought he was going to say he felt lonely and disconnected in mortal ways, I would have rioted
Boy is he in for a surprise when he gets the news that that’s the *normal* experience people have with each other. (Which admittedly is probably coming in the next comic.)
Interesting perspective on things. Kendal’s only experience with people was with how Vash interacted with them, all knowing yet distant at once. To him that was the normal way of knowing people and now he has to learn to learn about people the normal way and also learn that not everyone will be as forthcoming as they were with Vash.
My own crack at it for this page TL:DR: Sword-II Floof is not, infact, as all knowing as God Floof, and feels like he should be. He didn’t know about the YEET incident and doesn’t know much about Exposition Floof despite how much “(Don’t)-Help-Exorcism-Wanted” Floof likes to hear himself talk. He doesn’t get how the People yet
It took me a little bit to comprehend “That’s rough, buddy” and then I realized that it’s from Avatar when Sokka told Zuko about how his first girlfriend turned into the moon.
that’s actually so much deeper and more painful than “I realized you have a family and I don’t and that makes me sad”
like… “youre my closest friend and I had no idea how much you were going through and I barely even know you”?!?!
oh my god ??
1: Vash always has a big smile, like he’s enjoying everything. Kendal rarely smiles, the uncertainty and existential weight of his new existence bearing him down.
2: Vash has a broader chin and heavier jawline. A bit of a Mulan 1998 thing going on there, perhaps.
3: Vash’s entire eyes glow, except just the irises and pupils like a mortal magic user. Possibly. The way eyes glow in _Aurora_ is… complex.
4: Unconfirmed, but while Kendal’s floof is finite and consistent, it appears Vash’s floof may expand to meet the needs of the image.
I keep trying to type “Vashj” instead of “Vash,” too many years spent playing World of Warcraft
Intressting perseptive, poor floof head ^^’
Nice to see that he talks about instead of brooding alone 🙂
Kendal needs Facebook. Five minutes of finding out everything you never, ever wanted to know about people will fix him right up.
Kendal needs to start writing a webcomic.

I’d like a Kendal bodypillow just so I can give the poor guy a hug.
That’s rough buddy. And I dig merch Jaefling
oof
aww sweetie :/

Kendal already considers Erin a friend!!
Now kiss you krazy kids. Do it. Do it now.

TL;DR: Vashn’t doesn’t know stuff he has no reason to know about the mcNicetats twins. He doesn’t like that.

Oh dang! That’s an interesting perspective. I guess a God would be lonely not truly knowing people anymore
If you’re used to knowing people all of their lives
And that’s taken away confusion just thrives
