I love how badass Alinua is. But the greatest thing about her is that she isn’t just “the female badass”, because we’ve seen her grow and develop from someone who was only kind of badass and VERY afraid to use her abilities to the amazing person she is now. Such good writing.
Can we appreciate how she’s still able to nonchalantly move her arms and cast magic after being lapidated? Are we sure she isn’t the one with metal in her bones?
Also those eye colors now resemble the ones she had when dreaming in the previous chapter.
Come to think of it, can what’s-his-name cat lad even safely hold the lacrima? Remember, when Kendal was about to pick it up, there was a whole kerfuffle about him not being able to safely handle it. It makes sense that Alinua can hold it without issue, given how she’s imbued with life magic (or precisely is going on with her), but how’s our favoriate ambivalent cat-lad safely handling the dangerous nature-nuke?
In the last panel, Alinua’s expression looks like she’s crapping her pants as though if the Lacrima broke on impact it would horribly mutate everyone present.
Falst + Ali: (thinking) Please don’t break! Please don’t break! Please don’t break!
… Yeah maybe throwing the life magic nuke into the air wasn’t such a good idea. Kendal, please grab it and keep it away from harm, we don’t want the cover art to become a reality.
For a life mage whose training has mostly been the odd heal job and growing plants Alinua is holding herself pretty well in a fight, on the offensive, improvising, though some kind of anti-stone wood shield would be a good idea.
Like the details of Alinua’s arm in bad shape and how Falst’s pupils in panel 4 are round, like a cat before it pounces.
Alt TL:DR: Rouge Floof pulls a Romeo, but instead of throwing pebbles at a window, it’s throwing rocks at a Life Floof. Life Floof then drops the Magic Nuclear Reactor and it doesn’t break, because logic. She then THROWS THE VOLATILE LIFE BOMB WITH VINES, cause she has as many brain cells as Pinky

Oh shit.
This won’t end well.
If you kids don’t stop roughhousing you’re gonna break that thing and then nobody gets to play with the lacrima!
Kendal needs to put everyone in time out.
YEP this is how the lacrima breaks
Naaah, if it really was that fragile it would have broken on the second panel.
Definitely rooting for Falst here, he’s trying so so hard.
Lots of ‘A’s for effort’ in this fight.
He’s holding out better than I expected, but Alinua is such a tank that I’m worried about the angsty kitten
*the angsty kitten* this is great

Y’know Alinua, if you keep treating that lacrima like a basketball, everyone’s gonna become a chimera, and then who fault will it be?
It’s all fun and games until the lacrima fractures.
Whok
Saucepan
Griddle
Oh, his pupils slit!
he is a cat
Ok, probably her arm is just bruised, but she still doesn’t raise it.
And if nobody stops this I kinda think shit is going to hit the fan really soon.
When’s Kendal gonna’ step in and break up this fight like the parent we need?
the lacrima’s gonna explode and kill Dr Jekyll over there
How long does it take Kendal to get off a f***ing rock!?

I assume it’s because he’s magically inert due to the whole Ferin deal. I think the operative question is, who is the Lacrima bouncing towards?
“Too slow” had me laughing
Is anyone else getting images of laser pointers and cats?
Started from yesterday now we here.
I’ve never burned through a webcomic this fast. I need MOAR.
If you’re interested, this webcomic does have a discord with a moderately sized community of fans.

I’m betting Falst is gonna be the party member who at first walks ten feet behind everyone else out of spite
In the last panel, Alinua’s expression looks like she’s crapping her pants as though if the Lacrima broke on impact it would horribly mutate everyone present.
“I didn’t think this through…”
red, you should turn this into a book

I’ve been binge-reading so far, but now I have to wait like everyone else.
I need one of Kendal’s hugs.
felt that
i ended my binge later in the comic but… felt that.
TL;DR: Lionboi uses rocks! It’s not very effective!

Erin tries to catch green glowstone.
Alinua: Osoi!
Sometimes I have to remind myself that this isn’t shonen anime.
Ooooh I love when they say “too slow”
Alt text: only marginally less cruel than putting it on a high shelf
My preciouuuuuus !!!
Oh… Alinua can logical learn to fly once she gets this limited telekinesis practiced and Erin rigs up a harness. Awesome.
