Nah, it different, the first one is an order from a temperamental nature spirit, the second one a promise that you know you can’t really maintain.
Totally different energy.
Kendal’s expression of concern prompts Gleicann to express his concerns about Kendal’s expression of concern in such a fashion as to make Falst concerned.
One more thing: I find it strange that Falst doesn’t seem to know how godly incarnations work; you’d think living near a nature spirit for so long would enable you to learn how they work. This, combined with the fact that neither the innkeeper nor Dr. Jolon recognizes Falst, makes me think that Falst recently wandered to this forest from somewhere else.
Was it mentioned at some point that people avoid Gleicann now? Or implied? In any case, I don’t think Falst would have any interactions with city gods or chance encounters with Gleicann.
Gleicann did mention that the people of Hilltop avoid him because they now fear the forest; Falst, however, does not live in Hilltop. What’s more, gods seem to be commonplace on Aurora, so it’s kinda weird to me that Falst doesn’t know how they work
Is it just me, or does Gleicann seem to treat Kendal like he’s Vash’s child? And does that mean that he’s his uncle (like how certain cultures call older adults “aunty” or “unc” even though they’re not related)?
Nah, Gleicann treats him a lot more like Kendal is Vash’s property – see how he describes him just like he’s Vash’s sword?
I guess having them both named Kendal doesn’t make things much better, haha.
When we first met Gleicann, Kendal noted that he didn’t look as friendly as Vash remembered. Gleicann explains that people have seen the forest as more dangerous recently.
Falst is my new favorite. We’ve been treating Erin like the sarcastic voice of reason among all the primordial shenanigans, but that “wh-ANYWAY?!” makes me think that when Falst joins the gang he’s going to be much more suited to it.
“‘ANYWAY’? Nonono, you don’t get to just casually converse with some… disappearing forest spirit, and then pick up the witty banter where we left off.”
Another day, another character utterly baffled and confused by Kendal’s logical reasoning, and do we love it. At least now he has something he can relate to Alinua and Erin with.
So Falst doesn’t know how godly incarnations work, then again with his status as a predator Ferin I doubt he would have had the most comprehensive of educations growing up.
Gleicann, I don’t think Kendal “carelessly” put the sword aside, this is part of a genuine effort to talk rather than fight. Not to mention with Kendal’s speed he could easily retrieve it if things went south.
TL;DR: Plant man takes the Sword 5S Pro after Vashn’t drops it on the ground because it’s, like, important and stuff. Also, now Vashn’t’s gotta explain his backstory again.
After this most recent re read, I just caught Falst’s sense of what ‘normal” is. Of course he wouldn’t know what Gleicann is, who he is, or what he looks like. This is like if some guy went into your home and then an alien appeared from nowhere, the two had a conversation, and then the home invader went back to his altercation with you.
That passive aggressive energy from Gleicann xD
“Vash would be displeased” ” I don’t hear Vash complaining”
“Kindly refrain from dying in my forest” reminds me of Kendal telling Alinua “I’ll try not to die while you’re around”
Nah, it different, the first one is an order from a temperamental nature spirit, the second one a promise that you know you can’t really maintain.

I meant the wording but you’re right about the energy part
Falst is confused… just as Erin was.
He doesn’t seem to understand what’s going on with Kendal, even if he did overhear his first conversation with Gleicann…
Judgy-ish-Gleicann.exe activated
Btw, panel 5 and 6 is the most hilarious thing I’ve seen all day
Panel 6 made me lose my shit while in my Literature lecture. Thanks for embarrassing me Red.
So… Explanations?
The faces in panel 3 though
1. I LOLed twice
2. I officially adore Falst
3. I desperately need to see a snark-off between Erin and Falst
Yeeeeeessss snark off time!
An unstoppable force versus an unstoppable force. WHO WOULD WIN?
The unstoppable Force.
Why does Gleicann give me low-key librarian vibes? Is it because books are made from trees? Idk.
This comment section needs a ‘like’ button
Yes but only a like button, no dislike button.
I have a hunch … the moons …… might be important in this chapter.
Kendal’s expression of concern prompts Gleicann to express his concerns about Kendal’s expression of concern in such a fashion as to make Falst concerned.
Please don’t die in my forest, blood makes the moss all brown and sticky.
Kendal’s inner monologue: “…Aaaah, shit.”
(Except perhaps without swearing because Kendal is an innocent, naive little sweetheart)
Does anyone else love Falst’s face in the second-to-last panel? It’s good to see that he isn’t quite all anger all the time
He looks so cute and surprised

I’m seeing it too, so it’s not just you. Lady Ilia acted like that as well, if not so obviously.
When it comes right down to it, that’s the closest modal for their relationship anyone has. ‘My own flesh and blood’ and all that.
Gleicann, thinking: Shit I can’t let Vash’s kid get hurt
Gleicann, out loud: Vash would be displeased to see his sword so carelessly damaged
Gleicann, disappearing in a puff of smoke:nailed it
When we first met Gleicann, Kendal noted that he didn’t look as friendly as Vash remembered. Gleicann explains that people have seen the forest as more dangerous recently.
For real though Falst is the cutest thing
Just look at those lil ears
And the levels of floof-

“ANYWAY!” … appropriate reaction.
“What the fuck am I getting involved into?” -Faulst probably
NEW CHARACTER ALERT
It’s what! I saw you doing the TL;DRs in the early comics!
Unless you’re a different what entirely
I am different

“Kindly refrain from dying in my forest” should’ve been my senior quote.
Giant God casually says to you: “kindly refrain from dying in my forest.” And then disappears*
You: “anyway.”
8) I love it
