Damnit Falst, you’re supposed to claw them in the surprise round, then give the one-liner, or at least succeed when you let them know about your presence. If you make the quip then fail to claw them, it just makes you look foolish.

Honestly the Ferin’s little comment from the last page kinda made me like him but like the aggressive claw swipe was so uncalled for smh

Just hit him with the scabbard. It’s like swinging a sword, but it’s blunt instead of deadly.
I cannot tell you the number of times I have thought this when a character is in the whole ‘I don’t want to kill them but they’re attacking me/someone I should protect’ situation. Break an arm or knock them out and *then* try to talk them down or whatever.
More extreme version:
“I can’t kill evil bad guy because I’ll release the ancient evil unless he dies from old age. Also, he is a ruler of an Evil Empire TM, if he dies there will be power vacuum. And if I put his good son on the throne, Evil Bad guy will plot to overthrow him.”
Rogue in the team: “Go full Byzantium on him, dude!”
Good guys: “WHAT?! What do you mean?”
Rogue: “Chop off some limbs, blind him and put him in the dungeon. He is still alive, but not a threat any more.”

Yeah Gleicann is kind of in a rock-and-a-hard-place situation here, lion-boi is technically one of his people that he is meant to protect but Kendal is the gods best hope of beating the Collector. Choosing not to interfere, especially as facts are still muddied, is probably the best course of action. (Plus it means he could see Erin and Ali coming and potentially stop them from doing anything rash.)
Predator Ferin Vs. God-made body in a enclosed cave and potential magic-nuke. This could be an interesting fight.
TL;DR: Lionboi is the smartass, shocker. In other news, a fight.

I’m gonna have to go on Tumblr and see if I can find anything from Red, about how Falst’s claws seem to be able to carve into solid stone of any type, and that they’re apparently the entire final digits of his hands. I keep thinking of how it would feel to try and carve things with claws made out of modified fingernails and, ow, no.
