Erin in the 6th panel is absolutely me whenever I’m thanked for doing something I was expressly told to do and I’m grumpy about it. “Don’t thank me, I didn’t want to do it. Save your thanks for something I have willingly done for you.” (The answer is usually something along the lines of “I’ll thank you for whatever I want to thank you for”)
Oke but i don’t think we’ve had a size comparison this clear before. Alinua and Erin are both a head shorter than the guard (Ivan), but Kendal casually struts by with guard only getting to his eyes.

I know barely anyone is going to get this reference, but it’d be like finding Julian Devorak at The Rowdy Raven.

Wait… bigger on the inside? How could bags of holding be possible in this magic system? No aspect of the six (well, seven) elements could warp space like that… Perhaps the bag was enchanted by a god? Their magic might not follow the same rules and limitations as mortal magic, and could potentially be a lot more versatile, since gods can represent a lot of things and concepts.
I’ve hypothesized previously that The Collector’s soul-stealing knives are infused with void magic (i.e. the seventh element), since 1) their blades are the same purplish black as the disintegration energy that Erin wielded when possessed, and 2) a core aspect of void is consumption, and in a way, those knives are consuming souls.
Point is, soul-stealing *could* be elemental in nature, but bags of holding couldn’t; it’s why I think perhaps a god free from the limitations of mortal magic could’ve enchanted Erin’s bag (because, for all we know, their magic could just be magic).
The bigger on the inside also makes sense for void, making empty space that can “consume” things, but Erin couldn’t have done anything with void in his backstory. Maybe bags of holding are old relics from a time before record when void was controlled? Or maybe it’s associated with air, like how the empty space inside the bag is full of air, so increasing that space is based on air because magic logic? the ancient void relic thing wouldn’t work too well, because Kendall’s reaction seems to suggest that they are fairly common, and Vash would have known if they were stupid rare and impossible to make.
Either that, or Red’s just way smarter than us and thought of an even better explanation that will eventually be reviled.

I think that the collecter is an old soul shaper/bender/what’s-it-called, because, if their power can move parts of the soul around the body, why can’t they take soul away or add more.

That’s true… he’d be very intimidating to anyone who didn’t know he was so sweet and polite.
That said, I don’t think Hilltop is *too* far from the city of Vash, considering the map we saw before. I’m sure it’s plausible that these people would know what Vash the god looks like.

Story time with Trasyn;
So me and my party (a halfling, my oc, a very tall aasimar, and a shorter human) walk into a small village. we run into a guard. (actually, like legit run into. cloudy. and my aasimar was busy so he couldn’t see.) Our halfling was a well renowned hunter so he just waved something in the guards face and took off. our human apologized and ran after the halfling (a recurring theme). I just walked past him, later, we find this guard is the dude we bloody needed to talk to.
Guard: I used to be an advent-
(Erin shoves him aside)
Alinua: Sorry.
So, bags of holding exist in this world via the Ancients, interesting. I bet Falst could sell that for quite a bit.
The fifth panel is my favourite, a 100% done Erin, a grimacing Ali and Kendal inspecting the hand that was wounded. Wonder what he’s thinking.
