Maybe unchimerize it. I hope not that sounds to me like it shoul be an end level skill not somethin she should be able to do after three days of finally geting the hang of her magic. Even if she is somewat special.
Of course it will not be a deal breaker if that is how this twist turns.
If she was to unchimerize it at this level it would probably knock her out cold or have some serious after effects as she hasn’t yet channelled that amount of immense power.
I love how smartboi is constantly surprised and confused in these last few panels. He tries to take back control, but lets be honest, he has no idea what is happening.
Firstly, that’s not Alinua talking in the fourth panel, or at least she’s under the heavy influence of Life.
Secondly, Erin, you are not Frozone inside a burning, collapsing building, you are the elemental magus! Why can’t you use the other elements to stop Falst?
Like, can’t you just zap and paralyze him with some lightning magic, like you have done before?
i think he didnt use the other elements becuase in the previous page erin had already charged up the life rune to heal kendel thats when he noticed falst then probably used it on falst since the rune was already charged
I thought she was herself in the 4th panel, and she just has the glowing green eyes because she’s actively using Life magic.
And maybe since Erin had his life magic readied, that’s why he used it at first, and now because he has Falst encased in the trees he can’t use any other magic on him?
No, that’s her talking; look at the speech bubble. If it was the Life Primordial, Alinua’s eyes would be completely green and the words spoken would’ve been styled differently.
You actually can’t usually use lightning to paralyze I don’t think. The soul resists elements from tampering w/ the body (except for life to a lesser extent). So you can’t bloodbend or anything. I also am pretty sure that includes paralysis through lightning. Erin doing it to himself was different.
I think the resistance applies to directly manipulating the elements IN someone’s body, not from external elements. For example, you couldn’t use lightning magic to control someone’s nerves, but you can still just force electricity through them, paralyzing them. You couldn’t manipulate the water in their blood, but you could probably just hold a big bubble of it around their head until they drown.
I think Red is trying to ‘harden’ her magic system into something with clearer rules.
It seems like Erin needs to prepare runes for most of his spells, which is likely true for most mages and Alinua is just a special case, if their conversations are anything to go by. Erin probably just had a Life rune ready at the time to practice with Alinua.
Also, the fact that there is ambient primal energy that can ‘run out’ or be dominated by a particular mage is very interesting. I wonder if Alinua is naturally more powerful in forests.
Also, also, Erin’s paralysis trick with Voidragon was probably the result of channelling lightning magic without a prepared rune, causing it to backfire and paralyse himself. If he used Life Magic without a rune he’d probably mutate himself, or fill his bones with stomach lining.
Oh yeah. She’s totally being a badass and doing that, even thought it’s functional impossible to get it back to normal since mutations also mess w/ the mind.
Hey remember that cute little squirrel at the start of the chapter, yeah I really hope nothing bad has happened to him like getting turned into a giant Chimera-esque monster being forced to fight his good buddy Kendal, but i mean what are the odds of that happening.
P.S. I will be very sad if it really is the squirrel.
I don’t think he’s really thinking right now, he’s just reacting to the things happening around him. Once the battle is over and Erin’s had a chance to properly process what just happened, that’s when the bamboozlement will begin.
When monsters attack your Temple to Agrela in “Majesty”
(seriously, they are terrifying. Healers every one of them, have knives, their special ability is to self-ressurect the same number of times as their level. They gain exp both from healing each other and killing enemies.)
From what I gather from sketches and Trope Talks, after Falst joins the party all that’s missing are katana girl, tall eyepatch person, and possibly Tess
Oh, Alinua’s soaking up all the ambient life energy for her own spells. That could be a useful side effect when they find whoever’s making these, depriving them of their life-magic powers by taking all the energy herself.
I like how Kendal isn’t phased by Ali’s magic anymore, after seeing her rip open a sentient and grow giant fruit trees he knows just what she can do. Erin, less so.
Alinua
What are you doing
i believe she is about to get a boss fight!
Alinua VS (the master person thing)
FIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!
Either calming the chimera or putting it out of it’s misery, or something equally soothing and releasing.
Maybe unchimerize it. I hope not that sounds to me like it shoul be an end level skill not somethin she should be able to do after three days of finally geting the hang of her magic. Even if she is somewat special.

wonder who the master is? perhaps falst?
also the chapter 9 cover is out and it looks sick!
Well she’s pointing in the direction of Erin’s vines trap, so maybe my theory was right…
What page is your theory on? Idk which one

Also it looks like Falst miiiiight be a bad guy. That green crystal in the chapter 9 logo looks like bad news

Erin is just a mood these couple of pages
erin: WHA-
kendal: ah this again

Also, Erin: “There IS no life in this forest!!”
touchè ?

Just pick a different element Erin XD
No life energy for you to use, Erin? She IS the life energy! The life itself. The Source of All magic!
https://charmed.fandom.com/wiki/The_Source_of_All_Magic
She is All and she is One.
And she is the CIRCLE OF LIFE, which binds us ALL (but specifically and especially Falst).
?the circle…of LIFEEEEEEEEEEEE?
I’m not sorry
So, can Life itself reverse the process involved in making something into a chimera? Seems likely – and we’ll probably find out Friday.
Oh yeah. She’s totally being a badass and doing that, even thought it’s functional impossible to get it back to normal since mutations also mess w/ the mind.

Oof… poor Kendal. Not only does he keep getting bodied every fight, but he also has to deal with emotional trauma every time he sees a chimera.
Also, Erin hasn’t noticed anything strange about Kendal still being, you know, ALIVE after he presumably got his bones atomized.
I don’t think he’s really thinking right now, he’s just reacting to the things happening around him. Once the battle is over and Erin’s had a chance to properly process what just happened, that’s when the bamboozlement will begin.
Hehe I just noticed how much shorter Erin is than Kendal
The last panel so perfectly captures the rest of the party’s reaction to when their “healer” decides it is time to throw down.
The other champions when Mipha marches on with her trident in her hands and murder in her eyes:
When monsters attack your Temple to Agrela in “Majesty”

tess? whos tess? is tess the avatar guy?
Tess is the metal girl

TL;DR: Pink floof gets Corpse floof to not turn the knockoff Chimera mum product into a corpse. Nerd floof is impressed.
