Ahh well.
That’s not good.
Wonder what business Possessed!Erin has down in the Singing Caves… possible connection with the Collector?
Excited for the next update!
Hi, probably no-one will ever see this, but I do wish to inform you that the heart is almost bang-on behind the sternum. The apex of the heart (the pointy bit at the bottom) sticks out to the left, so essentially the heart is a fat cone placed on an angle. The heart’s position in this way is why the left lung is smaller than the right lung- there is a little space (the cardiac notch) for the apex of the heart to fit in.
In short, the heart is almost entirely behind the sternum, and certainly not behind the left nipple, which has the left lung behind it. The dark energy is definitely coming from the dragon mark, but said mark is placed over Erin’s heart, so you’re both right!
If you are an evil dragon that consumes everything it touches, it does make sense to go to the place where there’s a force that corrupts people into people who only want to consume. Sorry, that made more sense in my head.
Ok, so…I don’t think the yellow eyed buggy man wanted to kill her. He obviously knows who she is, or more along the lines of what is lending her those amazing power’s. What I really don’t get is why he will let her find out who she is, and he won’t kill her right now. So that thing is scared of the giant green lady, but doesn’t necessarily want to kill her, right?
Here’s the thing: the dragon knew that she was mortal. They thought their attack would kill her as she lay unconscious and disintegrating. They just didn’t count on divine intervention to save her, or they just wanted to get into the caves asap, consequences be damned.
Lot of stuff happening today:
Firstly, another double update, remember to check the both the hover texts 😉
Kendal is really glad
“Golden eyes” is its canon name ^.^
Its intentions are still very nebulous (what does it mean in the 4° panel? It seems to be in a hurry)
It purposefully tried to kill Alinua (and failed, because if you can’t kill a god, you surely can’t kill a primordial)
Red is trying to make a meme out of that house ?
An old theory about how the world was created made me remember this sentence from the lore pages *minor spoilers ahead*
“Though it is unclear why this seventh energy would be present most strongly in the Singing Caves, it is noteworthy that, while all other elemental energies are typically strongest in the high upper atmosphere, Stone energy is at is strongest and densest in the singing caves – most cave-crawlers also suffer from stone-corruption. ”
Maybe, if the auroras are the source of energy for normal elemental magic, the energy of the seventh element is stored somewhere inside the planet, separated the dragon when it was sealed at the center of the storm, and now it’s slowly leaking into the caves (remember the comparison between magic and radiation?), so what better time for this entity to go and retrieve his missing powers?
(or maybe he too wants Vash’s soul, but he seemed rather uninterested in Kendal the first time)
It seems that the dragon already has their elemental powers, as very clearly evidenced in the (absolutely beautiful) eighth panel; I could be wrong, and they only have a fraction of their power currently. As for other reasons they might go into the caves: CeilingFan proposed that they have a connection to The Collector (which, to me, could help explain how she got all her knives), or as a final reason, perhaps something at the center of the planet could help the dragon get their true form back.
Oh my…it seems this dragon has to forms, like the fuming acid monster and then just a normal dude with weird eyes. His being ok with destroying Alinua freaks me out.
My idea of the dragon sounds different, like high pitched, smooth, almost dreamy like Luna Lovegood (Luvgood?) But obviously malevolent, eerie almost. And when GE gets serious the voice turns harsh, like using the back of your throat, but still high pitched. I don’t know if I’m getting my point across.
But him sounding like Bill Cypher is a terrifying idea.
I also saw some guy who said they imagined GE having Blue’s voice, which I find hilarious. I imagine Cthulu/Life having Red’s exasperated voice, which makes the character 10x funnier. 10/10, would reccomend
Ok, this is scary. I’m super scared for Erin and the rest of the gang if they follow.
Beautiful artwork on the 8th panel and the final shot of Golden Eyes-Erin disappearing into the caves is so ominous.
Ahh well.

Today I learned what quoins are. This is a good day.
Today Erin was possessed, hurt Alinua and entered the Singing Caves. Not so good…
That explosion looks real cool though, gotta’ admit.
Yeah, I especially like how part of it comes out of his heart and looks like a mix between lightning and veins.
It’s actually coming from the dragon-shaped mark; the heart is behind the left nipple, not the sternum

No it makes sense. Quite a bit actually.
Bonus points if a later strip manages to including the printing version of quoins.

I imagine Gold Eyes sounding like Bill Cipher
Also this is super creepy and I like it
I have no idea what Bill Cipher sounds like, but to me, the dragon sounds like Dormin from Shadow of the Colossus

Holy s***; the thought of that voice coming out of Erin’s mouth is viscerally terrifying

Right? I still can’t get over his indifference with destroying Alinua
*But…..
Today I looked up what quoins are and still do not know how they relate to this/these page/s.
The corners of the mini-mansion were destroyed along with it?
*plays shadow beast music from zelda twilight princess*
I JUST NOTICED “THWIP”
Ah, I see you are a fair folk of culture
That was an obvious blast so a certain someone must have seen it
Oh, yeah!
HOLY CRAP
Leopard lady??

TL;DR: Suddenly, flashbacks.
Erin’s attack reminds me of the fire poison that burned Glauce and Creon in that myth video about Medea
HOLY, that’s much more threatening than i imagined, taking out Alinua that easily? wow.
alt text 1: why do I hear boss music
alt text 2: hey! erin worked hard on those quoins!
To me the voice of Golden Eyes sounds like a rasping purr that rings like thunder, though the idea of Erin speaking as Bill Cipher is very horrifying.

Double couplet:
The dark boy was amused since they “didn’t know”
Something, whichever way he must needs go
A flow of darkness repelled Ali’s vines
And he left, as evil on her left it’s signs
