Yeah from personal experience having to spin, weave, and dye a fair amount of fiber, it is not easy, especially at that technological level. Maybe magic would help, but unless indigoid plants are common in that world, that blue stuff she’s wearing would not be easy to get ahold of. I wonder if it’s animal fiber, because plant fibers require a lot more labor to process as a rule (though silk, of course, is not very easy), but plant-based would also tend to be nicer on the skin. Likely they wanted to give her something really nice, but if blue dye is anything like as rare as it actually is, they might have just used whatever fiber was local and cheap to save cost— unless the offer-ers were *very* rich.
