I’m early and I suspect Zurif (idk how to spell his name lol) isn’t behind this.
Is there any chance at all Zuurith would put a stop to the fight? The Arena Master knew Dainix was holding back. They both know he’s Ignan, and they had Shrike — a stone mage — in the arena. Wouldn’t they see the Dainix flambe as his being an Ignan fire mage? At least initially?
Heh, heh, heh. I hope Dainix melts that arena. And half that mountain. Lava’s good for that. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Tynan’s waterworks is the only thing that can put the fire out?
(Are we going to get a “learning how to control my powers” subplot? *ears perk up*)

Anyone else watched dororo (2019)? I’m seeing a few parallels; pretty dude with a ponytail, fighting someone that they probably shouldn’t be fighting (although it diverges if you get anymore specific). Ponytail is/theorized to be, struggling with their literal inner demons, and their going into a crazy rage fight.
R.I.P. Red’s drawing hand, all this flowing hair can’t have been easy to do.
Zuurith is prideful yes but he’s not stupid; if Dainix becomes a threat to the people in the audience he’ll take action. However, if Dainix’s power and state, whatever the nature it may be, is only a threat to himself and Kendal then I doubt he’ll do anything.
Also I wonder where the Arenamaster is in all this; he did have a personal stake in this match after all. Plus he was under the assumption Dainix didn’t have powers; if he saw this his reaction would not only be great but could inform Zuurith in stopping the match.
Kendal is starting to get very worried; you can tell because his floof in the final panel has gone flat. Also is that a tear in his shirt? Looks like Dainix came close to drawing blood that last attack. Not good.
So, u all know how the font is Red’s handwriting right? Well I’ve made my own handwriting into a font to. It’s quite fun. If anyone else wants to try that go to RishiDraws channel, he has a tutorial.
I hope none of them will die (except Zuurith, fuck that guy).

I can tell that people are gonna ship these two… (I kind of see it,) but I can’t get over the fact that the potential ship names are Kendix and Dainal.
(I realize this is largely unrelated to the actual page. Uh… save him Kendal!)
Reading Aurora is one of the first things I do when I wake up and can I just say, this page looks beautiful, especially how you framed the WHAM ?

I’m just waiting for the rest of the flood gang to hear about this, what was it alinua said? That if Zurith broke the agreement and held kendal to long she would, quote, “tear the entire place down, stone by stone.” Yeah, this is going to be good
They could always go the RWBY route and name it Fireblonde or Calming tea or something

I hope that’s sand in the arena, otherwise that would be a hard landing. It might still be, actually, if the sand is tightly packed enough.
Considering how easily Kendal broke that guard’s staff, it must’ve taken significant care not to snap Dainix’s spear here. Of course, that begs the question of why Kendal didn’t snap Dainix’s spear, since that would just leave him with his fire mag- …Actually, yeah, considering Dainix is literally bleeding fire now, probably best to just let him keep using his spear.
Ok, fun fact time! Kendal just did a common move from jiu-jitsu, the balloon sweep. It’s really fun. When someone puts their weight over you, usually to avoid a different sweep, put your feet on their hips, throw them over your head (yes, while on the ground), then do a backwards roll into mount. 🙂

Dainix face-planting in the last panel is kind of funny, though I know this is really serious. SPLAT.
I feel like the audience CAN see the light-show that Dainix is doing right now, but they don’t seem to be that worried. At least Zuury isn’t anyway. I feel like Dainix is really losing himself at this point, because I feel like if Kendal hadn’t caught that spear he’d have been kabob-ed through the heart and that sort of attack is unusual for him. Also, the way his eye is glowing makes me thinking of those fricking wizzrobes from Breath of the wild which is not a good sign. Honestly surprised he hasn’t burnt off his eye bandage yet, but I feel like that’s coming soon. Like next page he struggles to get up and Kendal starts walking towards him to do the whole “are you okay dude” thing and then Dainix turns to him with his other eye exposed and probably spewing fire. Like he’d just unlocked the second form in a boss fight.
Imagine if a zoo tried to pull the “enrichment” line from the alt text.
I want the two of them to go apeshit and destroy the arena-
for a second after first reading that, I thought that Kendal kicked the end of the spear straight through Dainix and I was like, ‘what?’
But them I read it again.

Also, possibly looks like fighting him just makes his skin crack faster (judging by the stronger glow on his chest after the kick), so I am once again putting forth the hug option.
Sheez I got so caught up reading that I never expected to be up to day D: I can’t take this much tension!
And the crowd goes WILD (As do us, in a different way). I am all for Zuurith’s bewildered expression here, it’s hilarious. I’m pretty sure Kendal caved in his chest with that kick, so that’ll be cool to see. New Pastrivia coming Friday, since this is too exciting.

@TheUnknownGame Also, Kendal is using Dainix’s spear as a lever to flip him there, so breaking it would let Dainix fall on top of him and pin him with fire-limbs
When I saw Kendal give Zuurith a direct order on the last page I was somewhat worried that Zuurith might retaliate violently for being spoken down to. I am pleasantly surprised that he seems to recognize that this might not be a situation he can resolve by crushing it with his ego. Maybe Zuurith will step in once this gets out of hand.
