Well the guards have learnt that shouting at her to keep off the roofs doesn’t work and only makes things harder, progress on their part. Vienne looks pretty tired, and not just ‘worked all night’ tired either.
I know Alinua has a bit of money but just how much can she afford? Or maybe she only has to buy small quantities of fruits and vegetables, keep the seeds, then regrow the plants whenever she wants.
Next weeks prediction: Chaos at the marketplace: Babe Fett and her hunters roll in; Alinua and Falst get caught in the middle and suspected of last nights trespassing; and Tess might even show everyone she’s been playing nice this whole time. (She punches dragons at least once a sef; the hunters know Metal castes are tricky but I doubt they realise she’s THAT tricky.) PML will book it leaving Falst and Ali to the guards and hunters.

Since everyone is thinking that Aluina will get arrested as well, I would like to point out that on the chapter cover, Falst, Dannix, and Tess are the only characters bound by chains (Zuuriths, by the faint glow and tendency to wrap around protagonists). I take this to mean that Aluina isn’t going to be caught or suspected of anything because 1) there is no reason for them to suspect a cloud-elf and 2) Falst is most likely caught by Shrike because he’s a ferin and therefore a target for the arena.
Okay, so Vienne tells Shrike where Tess is. But is that something she always intended to do, or is that a product of whatever Shrike did to Vienne’s bracer?
Though looking at that page again, Shrike may have just been discouraging Vienne from grabbing her arm like that.
Will Shrike get that message in time? Is Tess in big trouble? How much stuff is that stall actually selling? Does Falst not realize that socioeconomic disparity is always everyone’s problem? Is he just annoyed that that stall isn’t selling Temptations cat treats?
Wow this comic really is quite allot of fun. I feel like I should leave it to rest and stockpile some chapters bit its simply too much temptation and I cant help myself. Perhaps I am just chronically blind but even after watching a great deal of Red’s youtube content I had never heard of Aurora. Eventually I got quite lucky though and Aurora was placed in the advertisement slot as a bit of self advertisement. It seems to be such a shame to not use your well established platform to increase awareness on your passion project, even if just placed in the description of videos.

That won’t work, don’t worry. Every living body (which includes Tess since she’s, you know, alive) has a structured soul which protects from exactly that kind of magical manipulation. That’s why manipulating e.g. blood, bone or nerves inside someone’s body is flat-out impossible.
