I remember a while back on tumblr Red describing Caliban as a trickster type god and now it’s starting to show, especially from that face in the final panel. With their prowess and Tahraim’s planning Trickster fuelled nudge theory could be winner.
Whether Kendal knows or doesn’t know that’s a god posing as a guard, Cali either wants him to suspect something or just can’t help themselves letting a hint out. Assuming the former I’d say Kendal probably plays a bigger role in their plan than just the fight; Vash’s history with Tynan and the sword will probably feature, if only for exposition for Dainix.

I’ve seen previous theories that Dainix is the demon that tore up his village. if so, i foresee a giant explosion of fire and the destruction of a mountain in the near future.
Idea: LD is/lives in the sun so VD’s attempt to eat the sun was actually an attempt to kill LD.

I think it’s that Dainix has been chosen by Caliban for whatever reason, but I don’t know what that reason is yet.

This is a good page to compare the eye glow of Caliban’s sneaky guard costume and Dainix. It’s very noticeable that they both glow in a sneaky way, though they are slightly different colors. I’d bet that represents Dainix’s status as Caliban’s champion, though we have yet to find out what that means.
Also, Caliban, poking the bear isn’t going to go well for you, but I understand that is, like, your job description…

No one knows exactly why as of yet, just that Dainix is in some way important to Caliban. Considering that Dainix was sent out to gather information on a legendary entity that killed and terrorized loads of their people, Caliban probably wants Dainix out of prison as soon as possible so he can get back to it.

Is Caliban going about this in the most underhanded, least efficient way possible? Are they planning to undermine Zuurith’s whole power structure by throwing a dramatic wrench at his face? Will Dainix suspect that something is amiss about this guard he’s never seen before who clearly knows a thing or two about his past? Did Kendal pick up on that hint of sledgehammer subtlety? What does the Arenamaster wish to discuss? Will he offer Dainix a bag of Temptations cat treats if he fights Kendal?

Can anyone refresh me on what page we found out that Caliban is disguising himself as a guard? Cause it seems like someone just assumed from last page based on his hairstyle and everyone started bandwagoning and I’m a bit surprised to find out that they’re right.
Or he is afraid of losing, but more of losing control then losing the fight. That eye glow seems like it may be of significance and I’m doubting more and more that the bandage on his other eye is covering a wound.
Alright, I am still holding my breath about what’s about to happen, but since I have a feeling it’ll be a while since we actually get an answer to the last Futurivia, how about some Pastrivia to keep us sharp.

The lolest: Agreed! I hate it when you get characters like Caliban who are really manipulative and play with people’s emotions “To help them” but they really just think of them as toys for their own benefit… IT MAKES ME ANGRY!!!
I’m starting to get like a bit of a modern day, less horrible personality Olympian gods feel… Playing with their heroes-check, narcissism-check, denying that they might be flawed-check, rigid, awful social structure-check, etc. It could just be me though!

Dainix seems to be perhaps the most complex member of the pre assembly Floof Troop so far. Not to say that the others are bland.

Whoops! Thanks! I kinda want Caliban to redeem herself though, because it would be nice to have a little godly support. But to much help might mess up the plot, and while it is infuriating to watch her toy with Dainix, it does help develop the plot…but I still hate her doing that to Dainix!
