Awwwwwww Falst, it’s okay to be a little scared of people. Alinua and Kendal will understand. And Erin will . . . um . . . well anyway, it’s okay to feel nervous about spending time around people. We all get it and we’re here to support you.
But actually, let’s leave the shy-heart-to-heart for later, because I’d rather you didn’t die within the next two pages, okay? Go be your snarky, athletically adept self.
Falst should definitely talk to Alinua about not being used to spending time around people. And maybe Kendal too, because Kendal’s new not only to people but to EVERYTHING. And Erin isn’t new to people but that sure hasn’t helped him be good at social ineraction. . . wait, is everyone on this team socially inept in some way? Awesome.
Considering his continued response to Kendal’s attempt to explain that he understands before, I think Falst has some character growth needed before he could benefit from such a conversation. He seemed to find the concept that other people want *different* things than he does to be unfathomable.
So are we going to call this dragon/golem/sentinel etc “Trouble” since Falst called it that?
Looking for a physical threat or other problem so you don’t have to confront your real fear of social interaction and forming friendships. Falst, you are perfect for this gang.
Serious talk now, that creature must be pretty unnoticeable in it’s dormant state if Falst and his enhanced senses didn’t pick it up. He was distracted, yes, but he was still right next to it and didn’t notice until it moved.
I wonder what will happen now, Falst I think is sensible not to lead it back to camp unless he knows he needs backup, but it’s hide looks like it’s made of stone so I doubt he can do much damage to it with his claws. Run and hide somewhere then discretly go back to camp and let the others know they need to relocate maybe?
Aw, but I love monologuing in the woods! If you get a cape and a staff to do it with, you feel a special kind of powerful. Powerful enough to defeat even dangerous four eyed things!
Haven’t tried monologuing specifically in the woods with both cape and staff, but I’m kinda in a state of on-and-off monologuing in my head at all times. Feels great but isn’t really good for your situational awareness.
Sometimes you got to verbalize your internal deliberations to really process them. Even if it looks weird to others who might notice you talking to yourself.
Well, that is certainly going to keep him busy
Howdy there Falst!
I think he might need to be renamed either Faust or Murphy.
This is genius
OH LAWD ITS A BEAST
It’s time for Shadow of the Colossus, Falst style! I’m eagerly awaiting the danger noodle
Is that a burrower wyrm?
[checks notes] Oh god, it is. 0_0
Come here my lonely wolf <3
Btw I think white eyes was there since panel 4; dirt dragon?
Yup. Burrower wyrms are Stone dragons. Nasty breath weapon – it disintegrates the element of Stone (which bones are made of).
YIKES…

DAMN CLIFFHANGER!!!
I too hate cliffhangers.
PS: I would like to know more of this squirrel named Floofy.
ahhhh SHOOT I’ve reached the present point. I have to actually wait for new pages. :0
I need to know about Floofy too.
Is Tess/that light thing going to help Falst? I damn well hope they are!
Probably. Maybe this is how Tess is introduced to the party.
Wait who’s Tess?
Punchy lightning metal lady

I wonder if Red decides minor plot details based on the comments?
It’s ok, Falst, I also avoid people and talk to myself excessively
hey, same!
“What’s up danger” starts playing.
y e s
Falst: “I like tall trees so I can leap off of ’em”
OK, I have a BRILLIANT idea…adopt the burrower wyrm and ride it back to campsite
Im weird dont judge me
I mean, that Burrower Wyrm did not ask to be a Burrower Wyrm. They can adopt it; maybe if Alinua was there she could tame it.
“Maybe it’s friendly! Friendly mushroom! Mushy giant friend!”
Also, Falst is really bringing the emotional analysis to the tram, even analysing himself.
Ooh boy
You’re back!
vardaaaaaaa
TL;DR: Don’t monologue in the woods, you will provoke a four eyed dangerous …thing.
Aw, but I love monologuing in the woods! If you get a cape and a staff to do it with, you feel a special kind of powerful. Powerful enough to defeat even dangerous four eyed things!
Does Catboy have a cape and staff? No, he does not. So he should not monologue in the woods.
Don’t let the hubris get to you!
Side note: I too like monologuing in the woods with a long stick and a jacket.
Haven’t tried monologuing specifically in the woods with both cape and staff, but I’m kinda in a state of on-and-off monologuing in my head at all times. Feels great but isn’t really good for your situational awareness.
Monologuing is not a victimless crime.
Hundreds of angsty teenagers are injured by monologues every year.
Maybe I should try monologuing in the woods and make my even more concerned for me then they already are.
make my *parents
Fair advice.
Wow, this one took off! I actually contributed to a comment thread!
Let the anti-monologuing campaign begin!
NO INTROSPECTION AND FEELS ALLOWED! ONLY FIGHT!
I guess that isn’t the sound of cute bunnies hopping around
Thing Causing the Rumble: “Keep your internal monologue internal, damnit!”
Sometimes you got to verbalize your internal deliberations to really process them. Even if it looks weird to others who might notice you talking to yourself.
Stone colossus, calling it right now
Why do I hear the Stone Talus theme
*rumbling behind you*
*ting – click – click click click*
bum bum bum bum bum buM BUM BUM- (sick-ass marimba)
Trouble
Lake Somewhere
(===========================================)
I just love how you can see Falst’s emotions so clearly in his ears and the contraction/dilation of his pupils
Why is the last panel such meme material?
Oh, no worries it’s just the giant stampeding therapist.
RRRRRUMMBLE
SOOO TELL ME ABOUT YOUR MOTHERRRRRRRR
Awww Falst -hugs-
Falst, the astonishingly self aware comic character.
Hello, trouble, my old friend …
I’ve come to talk with you again.
When I see this, I can only imagine the fight has the stone talus music from BotW
Even though he says “hello trouble” all I hear is “what’s up, danger”
Falst: Stupid. I’m looking for trouble.
(Not 20 seconds later)
Falst: Oh. Hello trouble.
Falst is already one of my favorite characters ngl
Alt text: maybe it’s friendly!
nothing good ever starts with a RRRRRUMB sound
