Ah, so Erin’s the son of a demigod? Suddenly his behaviour makes a lot more sense. I mean, even someone as smart and talented as him would probably never get the attention they deserve if one of their parents is basically the avatar of a God.
But their connection to them does give them something. They’d be like among the most powerful and influential of mortals but be probably sort of like clerics in D&D
I’m not sure… can dragons talk normally here? If not, then I’ll be sure it was a divine avatar. It could be that I missed a detail about this, the intro is kind of vague and unclear
Oh man, i just binged this entire series in one sitting and I’m HOOKED I tell you. love the whole thing. Worldbuilding, Lore, Chraracters it’s great. Wish I’d found it sooner but oh well. Now to wait for the next part.
I can answer that one–Red’s gotta get a lot more road behind her before she can even start promoting the comic in the form that she wants. So the book will come soon!
Double page spread, double the mouseover text and double the “tap” sound effects, at start and finish.
I want to see that convo between Erin and Kendal but I’m willing to wait to find out who Ghosty here is.
TL;DR: Floof mcNicetats gives Narrator mcNicetats a lecture about not being an ass, tells him to *gasp* talk to Vashn’t. In other news, a ghost shows up to Vashn’t, who’s being ghosted by Pantene god.
Cotton Candy is DEFINITELY the lancer in this comic, it seems clearer with each page. And Dark Boy aka Fountain of Exposition Man has to be the smart guy. As for Kendal, he’s a textbook paragon leader, so we’ve got a pretty balanced trio so far, but I suspect this will turn into a five-man band later. This is exciting, because it implies we’ll meet the big guy at some point, and boy do I love that archetype!

Emissaries aren’t really demigods, since they aren’t descended from gods

The current Avatar, child of a Favoured Soul, harbouring a dark Eldritch power, in a Band of
Fivethree…He really is made of snowflake isn’t he?
vASH?!?! IS THAT YOU M8
And if you ever say anything about my son I’ll impresión you in a tree, and not in a cool way like Merlin.
Also, is this character development?
Sword of Vash, give me words beyond words.
Is this a reference? The phrase ‘words beyond words’ faintly rings a bell, but I’m struggling to place it
It’s a Thunder Cats reference
Its a reference to Thundercats, “Sword of omens, give me Sight Beyond Sight” etc
Here’s a hint: Sight.
As any fan of pop culture of the 80s knows, “sword of vash” is a allusion to the sword of omens from the thunder-cats.
LooooOoooooOooong page.
I love that Red used the exact same pose from the explanation about emissaries for the last panel. Good on you, m8.
…That ain’t Vash, dude
It might be “blue eyes”, the entity controlling that lighniting dragon? (And the thing opposing yellow eyes since the first pages of this comic)
*lightning

Okay, just reread the intro, now I (finally) understand what Blue-Eyes did to anger Golden-Eyes
It pulled out a Prometheus 😀
The fact that PML say she “doesn’t know how to say sorry in dragon” makes me think they don’t speak English
hol up a minute, where did this house looking thing come from?
Earth magi (or elemental magi as the case may be) are handy at setting up elaborate campsites.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! VASH!!!!
Wait a second. Vash was not dressed like that!
And neither is The Collector, I checked
He dressed up just for the occasion..?
The color palette and texture king of remind me of Poseidon.
I mean “kind”.
Actually, water adapted fellows exist in this world https://comicaurora.tumblr.com/post/188418965929/while-reading-thru-the-lore-pages-i-saw-a-mention
But we are in the middle of an arid wasteland, to meet one of them seems unlikely…
Did Erin make a building?
Yep.
I love it when his pupils are glowy
Question fo red: when can I buy this as a book?
I second this question!!
Don’t worry it’s just a friendly force-ghost
Kendal is a paladin whose god is himself lol
It is Too Early for Anything Vaguely Philisophical (I say as the clock ticks over to 7:17pm)

…Well, of all the places to see a Paint Your Wagon reference, here was not it lmao

Was… was that a reference to Paint Your Wagon? A great almost-forgotten musical.
Today’s Alt Text:
I talk to the swords…but they never listen to meeee…
Today’s Alt Text:
ohmmmmm
(As a double page, there are two alt texts. This one is for the first part of this day’s post)
ALINUA IS THAT! GORL!!!!!!
I love this page, and i love Alinua!
Alt text 1: ommmmm
Alt text 2: I talk to the swords… but they never listen to meeee….
KICK HIS ASS I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!
A double couplet for a double page:
Erin receives a telling off by the elf
Kendal is able to speak for him self
Though not right now, he wants the sword to reply
Someone approaches him, there’s a sidequest nearby!
That switch from glowering to cheerful is hilarious to me.
Mommy? Sorry. Mommy?
