Sorry for bugging you, but this was the highest spot on the page, and I want my theory on the paladins to be visible. Ahem. On tumblr, red stated this in response to someone asking if there were other dragon-body based ranks in the paladins: “Yes. Seven in total.” While short this implies a lot. Here I have put together a list of which body parts I think these are, starting with the ones that have already appeared.
Horns: the guy from the end of the prologue for arc two
Wings: mystery man that killed that cave crawler
Eyes: Theia
Talons/Claws: Falst
Now into the ones that that we haven seen yet.
Tail?
Scales?
Breath?
Idk “Bearer of my breath” sounds a little weird, but whatever.
The guy that the hornbearer contacts, Septrenn, is probably also one, but he might also be the champion guy.

I think “Septrenn” is a made-up word for this group of “seven in total.” The horn-bearer is contacting the other six. Or, in my headcanon, the other *five,* because all they know about Falst is that there’s a claw-bearer out there somewhere… but they still call themselves the Septrenn, because the word still describes their group.
Ooh good point. I also think theia aka the eyes is probably the same way, but more as like a “hidden vessel within the organization that only the lady knows who it is” type thing

If we are mentioning theories here, I’m pretty sure that the light dragon is the sun. It explains origin, feud with voidy, and why elementals would care about stars being eaten. Plus, we know sun was here before elementals, and has a mysterious and poorly understood god who might not exist.
Dainix: Desperately trying to figure out how Falst saved his life from the Glort, while being completely confused about Falst’s weird response to him. (Also waving his hands about dramatically.)
Falst: Dying of embarrassment because he was holding Dainix’s hand while they were being pulled out of the ruins, and completely misinterpreted what the topic of conversation was. Also has no idea what happened in the ruins because he was busy passing out. (Slowly sinking deeper into his hammock as he decides he must have done something extremely humiliating.)
Confusion spirals and False backtracks,
Wishing his weakness could be hid.
‘Til Falst stops dead when Dainix yells,
“You really have NO idea what you did?!”
“If I licked you or something, just tell me
So I can die already.”
Falst says, sinking in his hammock.
“No!” Yells Dainix, for this unready.
I’d like to take this opportunity to compliment Red’s exclamation points- the looping top bit is really nice.
Falst: So… what did I do?
Dainix: You were cute and vulnerable and we need to talk about that.
Falst: I promise it will never happen again!
Dainix: No, you misunderstand. I am trying to tell you that you can be cute and vulnerable with me. You are safe, you can trust me and I’ll do my best to never hurt you.
Falst: Are you… proposing to me?
Dainix: … No. I barely know you for one day!
And of course, Falst’s thoughts are not about weird magic, “what could I have done that’s MORE embarrassing than holding his hand??” Because if Dainix isn’t upset about the hand holding, he must have done something way worse, right?
I feel like once it dawns on Falst that Dainix didn’t mind the hand holding, he’s going to be even more confused 🤣
Also, it makes sense if he used light magic, because I always thought it odd that he had such a natural talent with the lacrima magic – so he has an innate sense for using it?
Wait, is it really the first page with thought-bubbles? That’s crazy. I feel like she would have used them by now (also, tbf, there’s an image in the bubble and not text, but still)…
Actually this is the second image based thought bubble in the comic. The first was in 1-11-11, panel 5, as Kendal realises Alinua’s plant collosus form is linked to what the Collector is talking about.
I really like how they’re as much like tiny panel insets as they are thought bubbles, in line with Dainix’s full-panel flashback a few pages ago, and each bordered in a different way. Dainix’s flashback is a rare example of diagonal panel borders in Aurora, although I think they do show up in action scenes.
Loving the expression on the the second-to-last panel. You can clearly read the “oh God, I DID ONE OTHER THING AFTER THE HANDHOLDING. WHAT? WHAT DID I DO?!” in Falst’s face.
His mind going immediately to licking as a possible outcome of him being barely conscious is also wild.
Its actually a very simple process
First, you must find a sarcasm mage.
After you find one, you must kill them inorder to obsorb their sarcastic magic.
Then finally, practise using said magic untill you are an OVERLY sarcastic mage.

I have full respect for the Ferinheit ship, but I do feel that, even with all this blushing, that this could be two guys, regardless of sexual orientation, who don’t like other people seeing that they’re not 100% self-sufficient, and need something from another person sometimes. Emotional needs? Mild regression under extreme trauma? Nope, that’s not tactical. Don’t know what you’re talking about.
*clears throat* Although I also support this ship, I agree with you as well? Nothing is confirmed yet, and I’m just hoping that other fans of the ship aren’t going to take it a bit far in the comments 😅
Also, this comic is usually my morning break from the MHA fandom (others involved in it know what it’s like) so I really hope that some of the comments aren’t going to jump the gun with this 🙂
He already has the teeth of a cat, so I don’t why he wouldn’t have a sandpaper tongue as well. This would allow Falst to “rasp meat from bones” and “scoop up water” when he drinks by means of papillae, which resemble backward-pointing hooks. Interestingly, it would also mean he has a smaller sensory range of taste compared to everyone else.
My follow-up question is, can we get word of Red on whether Falst has full-body fur that’s too short and fine for the “resolution” at which Red draws the comic, or if he just has floof in the visually obvious places?
IDK if Ferin work like this, but without full-body fur, there’s limited usefulness for a sandpaper tongue. Also, IIRC, not all felines, especially large ones in both genera, have a sandpaper tongue.
Someone with a Tumblr account could ask the question. I don’t have one, and I’m not quite curious enough to create an account just to ask if Falst has a cat tongue.
Way back on 1.19.17, we got a shot of Falst’s back sans shirt, and there was a really nice line of fur that went partway down his spine (which made me want to stroke it, but that’s beside the point). I haven’t seen that design aspect since then, in spite of his current shirtless state, but that might support your full-body fur theory.
Okay, I’m starting to feel like my read, that they’re *not* particularly into each other “that way,” and both feel awkward about it, is maybe actually sort of what’s going on here… but, WOW, is this all about humiliation, for Falst?

Side note: I’m pretty sure that Erin, at one point, specified that ferin don’t have a connection to the elements and they can’t use magic. (I was reading through the comic last night). If Falst is a ferin, then how did he summon the light-claw thing? I saw a comment suggesting that it might be the light counterpart of the Void dragon.
Dainix’s thought bubble looks like the page is burning and revealing the other page! Reminds me of when Tynan’s speech bubbles looked like storm clouds with lightning bolts in his dragon form.
