Why?? What could possibly make you ship them? The only interactions they’ve had have been Falst insulting Erin right where it hurts, them fighting, and Falst stealing Erin’s bookbag (which by the way is inexcusable, books are precious and taking them from someone is cruel). I have no problem with you shipping it, that’s your choice (although I do kinda hope it doesn’t become canonical, if only because I’d like it if this comic stayed refreshingly romance-free), I just don’t understand why you ship it.
Don’t get mad at me, I like Falst too and hope he joins the gang, I’m just kinda confused by people shipping these two.
I think that if there’s any canonical romance, it’ll be well-developed. Red doesn’t like unnecessary romantic subplots, but that doesn’t mean she’s against all romantic subplots, so she might include a little–but she’s guaranteed to make the audience buy into them. I trust Red to write any relationships in this story well.
Me too.
I also really enjoy this comic because thre’s no canon ships yet and i kinda hope that it stays that way. I just think it’s refreshing not to have forced or distracting romantic subplots, it’s easier for me to concentrate on a nice story with awesome worldbuilding if i don’t have to worry about who will enf up with who.
OH. I had just re-read Erin’s expedition into the storm, and in the small print he said he had inscribed a lightning lacrima with that lightning shield spell so that he didn’t have to consciously focus on it. THAT’S what Falst has here.
What’s going on? Did Falst just steal his lightning? It looked like in the first panel that Erin just lightning discharged them both just to get Falst off him, but I guess not????
Red, the storie’s great but I’m worried that the panel layout might be… big. Like, I’m comparing the panel layout to other stuff I’m reading right now (One Piece and Paranatural) and I notice that it takes a long time for this fight to progress in meaningful ways, where the other comics would use less space and do more.
I love Aurora, and I’d love it even better to see that over the course of the comic your skills get better at layout so that you can stand next to other great comics.
TBH I thought Falst would have zapped Erin into submission, but the magus mind was faster than lightning *ba dum tss*
Also Patroclus77 is probably right about the storm lacrima, that or what I think Varda is thinking; geeze.
Am I the only person who thought Erin’s skin got stolen for a second? Just… ripped the tattoos straight off his forearm. Skin theft. … I need more sleep.
Glad I’m not the only one who thought Falst had ripped Erin’s skin off. Thinking about it Erin wouldn’t be coughing and looking confused if that were the case, he’d be screaming hard.
I guess that is a lightning lacrima, either from Erin’s bag or from other mages Falst fought, maybe even from Jolon’s place. It does seem from this and Falst’s dialogue that he has a lot of practice fighting and robbing mages for their gear to further his magical goals.
I also get the feeling lion-boy is fond of the one-liner then attack theme. How long until that blows up in his face I wonder.
hes stolen his heart. /j
I ship it
I ship it too. Falst + Erin = FErin.
I called it.
I called that people would ship them.
Heck I even called the ship name
Catboi: kicks Erins ass.
People: I ship it.
Lion+Hubris boi= Pride (ooh, multiple pun layers)
Hubris boi+lion= Cat
Mage+cat= Meowgic

Also, I agree, stealing books is unforgivable.
its just a joke bro
Me too.

HE KEPT THE LIGHTNING
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Yeah, Erin’s hoard of lacrimas is coming back to haunt him.
Also, does that 3rd panel look like he’s trying to purge himself of excess Lightning energy or is it just me?
That possible; I just thought he was trying to summon more lightning and WHY IS IT NOT WORKING lol

No quite a thieve then…
I don’t like that “crick”, Falst is gripping it too tightly and its going to break, and Erin will go voidy.
Can’t wait to see it.

I think it’s time for a life mage ex machina.
Did..did Falst just steal Erin’s magic? I wonder how he did it. Maybe the lacrima did something???
…so, is he going to have to travel the lands to relearn the magic a la Korra?
He wont be, Erin still has is magic and knowledge of how to use it
Last panel: Depicted: Erin’s hair still can’t decide whether it’s blue, black, or brown.
I like how his eyes changed color when looking at the two lightnings. Suddenly I don’t remember what they were supposed to be.
Is that a lightning lacrima he stole? And, ah… he’s breaking it, isn’t he?

These two should star in a sitcom about two roommates who hate each other
I would watch the hell out of that

OOOHHHHHHHHH… Its a LIGHTNING LACRIMA … I thought for a second there that he’d ripped off his skin! lmao I’ll just got put this dunce cap on now…

Oops my comp decided not to show my comment like usual and I made a dup. Just keep scrolling. I still have the dunce cap on.
THEEF
Am I the only person who thought Erin’s skin got stolen for a second? Just… ripped the tattoos straight off his forearm. Skin theft. … I need more sleep.
Haha, no… I thought so too.
DUDE SAME THAT WAS LITERALLY MY FIRST THOUGHTAND I FREAKED OUT
WAIT YOU ALL ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT
*deep voice* METAL.
Whar is that on the horizon. It is a ship, I see.

TL;DR: Thief creep took a… thing from Hubris mcNarratorman.
I love that Erin can still get out of the Ferin’s grasp, he has reason to be as arrogant as he is even if it can be a little obnoxious.
Angsty monkey: the lightning thief
Wait, is the blue lightning supposed to be neutralizing the charge buildup in Erin?
Don’t mind me, just seeing something
