…Why would the chimera see Alinua as the Life Primordial? The only being that has seen the two merged like that before is the Void Dragon, and this chimera is nowhere near his power level.
Perhaps he saw them merged because he could somehow see their souls (similar to Gleicann’s vision), so he would know immediately that there is a second, incredibly powerful, and familiar occupant hitching a ride in this innocuous purple elf’s mind. The soulshaper monks are going to be quite surprised indeed when these three finally arrive…
Over time, that chimera will become an enormous skeleton, before the land swallows it whole and it becomes a small hill… always a monument to the destructive side of life magic.
Being a girl who is pretty much the alternate-universe incarnation of Erin (in both appearance and personality, although my empathy is better), this will forever leave me in doubt.
Maybe.
The real question is if he’ll ever get to have those conversations. It could be the beginning of a never-ending loop of interruptions, leaving him forever confused, poor guy.
Okay I think only one other person has said this, but why are we all immediately assuming death? I know the one panel is very sad but the chimera’s face looks cute to me. What if we are about to have the big floofy chimera-sidekick of our dreams? WHAT IF THIS IS OUR APPA?
Falst made the mistake of killing the moment by trying to get away. Erin looks like he’s about to LOSE IT. (I love this scene, by the way. So beautifully done…Alinua’s moment, I mean. Not Erin’s last panel gold.)
Wow. I was not expecting that.
All things considered, that’s a very merciful way to put down a chimera.
Did Ali kill it? Wow… that was powerfull. I need a moment T.T
It looks like she drained off the excess life energy that was causing the chimeric mutation, and, in the process, put it down.
I’m going to guess that the crack sound was Falst…
She killed him…
Any type of death can’t be a “good death”, but… I don’t know, I have conflicting sentiments right now.
I mean, it’s not like out team hasn’t killed other monters before, but man her words were powerful…
The Order of the Good Death may disagree with you.
erins face in that final panel…lol
Erin has the best faces
Princess Mononoke reference?
Oh, that was a noise?
I thought that was answer to his question.
How’d she do it?
Crack.
Ah! I’m getting Princess Mononoke flashbacks, when the great Forest Spirit ended the life of the corrupted Lord Okkoto.
I’m getting teary-eyed just thinking about it! Good stuff, Red!
Ah, I love that movie. I’ve only ever seen it twice, but it’s so beautiful
Erin is getting so sick of this shit, it’s great.
“I’m just a guy with a possession problem, I didn’t ASK for all these chimeras, and superhuman feats…”
Erin: Wait how did she *CRACK* aw come on, Falst, what did you do now? We WERE having a MOMENT ?
Also we don’t know it’s dead maybe it’s going to wake up, see Ali as life and start being nice because she just did junk, people

Can we get the bird from sketch three as our next party member assuming Falst is evil?
I’m curious to know what (or even who) that bird is…
My point from the last page that Erin has no idea who he is hanging out with, still stands. Smart boi is really in for a hubris shattering adventure.
Um… did lion person just break a bone? That’s a bloody-looking ‘crack’ if I’ve ever seen one…
Over time, that chimera will become an enormous skeleton, before the land swallows it whole and it becomes a small hill… always a monument to the destructive side of life magic.
Erin “Wait I’m Not The OP One Here” needs to have some conversations.
I just realized as I posted this that Erin thinks he’s the Leader archetype. Na, kid, you’re the Smart Guy.

I guess it’s better that she put it out of its misery
His face in the last panel XD
“Again? Freakin’, AGAIN?!”
Okay I think only one other person has said this, but why are we all immediately assuming death? I know the one panel is very sad but the chimera’s face looks cute to me. What if we are about to have the big floofy chimera-sidekick of our dreams? WHAT IF THIS IS OUR APPA?

Er… I’m probably being stupid here, but who’s falst?
falst is the golden-eyed chimera in the next page
TL;DR: Floof mcNicetats does magic euthanasia, is sad. In other news, ominous sound effects.
Alt text: god it’s always something isn’t it
I wonder if Alinua can do that to people…
Erin: spend his whole life being the smart guy
Also Erin: confused 24/7 in the comic “how is everyone doing that?”
Erins face in the last panel
In grief she takes away the beast’s pain
But it seems the catboy’s threat does remain
“I don’t get it. The Great Forest Spirit took both of their lives!” –one of Jigo’s goons, in Princess Mononoke
