can’t believe there was actually something dangerous at the center of the deadly magical nightmare storm, smh my head

The tattoos on Erins arm are very intressting ^^
I know, right? I wonder if Red manually draws them each time, or if she has an absolute butt-ton of images on her computer of each tattoo at different viewing angles of his arms, before she copy-pastes them into her drawing software
The latter, I think
oh oof
They’re just so happy to be out of spectator mode. Probably hungry too, I don’t imagine the magical Chernobyl-dais included a mini-fridge.
Because while whatever it is was causing and insane magical storm really all along it had one true desire: MAKE OVERS!!
“Oh honey! We’re going to darken your hair up, and give you a nice, sexy tattoo in the middle of your chest! OH! YOUR! EYES! I can’t wait for you to see the change! People say the possessed look is just a tad, but I’m telling you it’s a CLASSIC and never goes out of style!”
I might have gotten a little possessed, but i managed to force the demonic voices out so now we don’t have to worry about it ever again.
Probably.
Oh you better not get posessed again Erin
I’m beginning to think that all deities in Aurora, upon entering someone else’s soul, is with “FINALLY”
yeah, isn’t it odd?
Motifs, baby!
Never can tell. One of our old Pandemonium RPG stories revolved around a kind-of-accidental lich who’d made his phylactery out of a beer cooler.
You have to say what happened now, that sounds awesome!
Same thing life spearit said. Wonder if it’s friendly?
That third panel is awesome
Ok, new theory that I came up with after randomly reading the lore stuff again.
The dark, eldritch dragon (which is what a lot of people are pretty sure has just possessed Erin here) mentioned in the primordial section is in fact the primordial for the seventh element that’s the topic of another page in the extra lore (I’m sure you’ll be able to make an educated guess at which). The page about the seventh element mentions that consumption would seem to be tied to this element, and that an imbalance to it causes people to turn into wendigos for a specific thing. This can range from vegetables to vegans (or non-vegans for that matter), and this links the eldritch dragon in because the six primordials that are well-known were attempting to prevent the dragon from consuming everything in existence (the note being on consuming). Note that this is, as mentioned, a theory.
(For those of you who cannot access some of those pages, the password for all of them (I think) is “spoilers”).
…which means you’re technically potentially spoiling future content without warning people first
For starters, I could always be wrong. And at this point, the password has become fairly common knowledge to anybody who randomly scrolls through the comment sections on pages, so I doubt I would have ruined it for many people. And for those amongst the readers who wished to remain impartial to the details, you were not obliged to read my comment, but apologies.
Alright, I see. Sorry if I came off as overly judgmental or snippish
Well, at least now we know the storm’s not coming back
I mean, we saw how much Windcrest made use of the storm, and who knows what the other towns were using it for, and given that locking up whatever dragon ichor is stuck in Erin at the moment was enough strain to leak out a storm THAT big from the pedestal, The storm just might have to come back. I don’t feel like Red’s one for the end of the age of magic type of stuff.
Oh, Erin. YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY AN ELDRITCH HORROR.
Also, I kind of want to see every primordial possessing their mortal with a loud FINALLY!
If they haven’t already picked out their avatars, then I can imagine that’s the case. However, it would stand to reason that this thing and the life primordial were the only ones to struggle to safely gain an avatar, otherwise their would be documentations of people who inadvertently blasted the surrounding landscape with lightning at age six.
Kendall is collecting avatars for the fundamental forces of magic like Pokemon.
YES
Whoops, wrong person sorry!! This was meant to be a reply to Lorrie. My bad!
Hippity-hoppity, your body’s now my property!
Wait, does red have to draw those tattoos EVERY TIME she draws Erin?
I imagine she has a predesigned image to lay over his arms every time she draws him so she doesn’t have to draw the tattoos over and over again.
Yes because as we all know a green and purple color scheme never leads to anything bad ever
No worries. They’ve got a point.
Here comes the main antagonist, ho boy
Ah, so the storm was the result of the damage to seal that held the dark dragon. Probably caused by the ancients in some kind of bid for great power, which leads to the downfall of their civilization, if it follows the usual tropes.
The lore page suggests they did themselves in through civil war, maybe the poorer ranks making a jump for power or damaging the pedestal somehow and killing off a decent chunk of the ancient population?
FINALLY! I’ve been waiting to drop some sick dance moves with this newly acquired mortal body I’ve found that has phenomenal natural talent!
Oh, that and destroy everything in my immediate vicinity.
W E N E E D A L I K E B U T T O N
Lookit this ancient dangerous unstable magical artifact that I don’t know what it does, I think I’ll stick my hand on it!
-The Illustrious Elemental Mage
I love that in the second panel even as the dark energy is racing up his arm Erin doesn’t look surprised or overly confused but actually interested in what’s happening. Very in character with him.
Also, was destroying his cape while possessing him really necessary? It managed to go past his clothes to burn that tattoo to his chest without destroying them so why did the cape have to go?
Deadly storm too unclear.
We might have needed more “Long-Term nuclear waste warning messages” in here.
But like. For the obviously evil sealed in a Can
TL;DR: after having fixed the magic jar’s lid, narrator floof was taken over by dark floof, which is the origin of the substandard tats. He got what he deserved for MURDERING Scary Magic Storm!
Erin, panel 3: Ow, my hubris!
The Snarl is now part of you.
parralell between Erin and Alinua with ancient being saying FINALLY! in their heads?
alt text: well, glad SOMEONE’S happy
Three consecutive panels without the page torn narrator boxes.
That’s what I called improvement.
Don’t you hate it when you finally get done
Solving one problem, just to find another one?
If I put my hand on a magic, danger pedestal and it started leaking void energy, I would take my hand off the pedestal IMMEDIATELY. But Erin just keeps in on like, “ooooh, danger! Gimme some!” Seriously, common sense dude. Run away from the black, disintegration energy.
Also, all deities that take over/inhabit mortal bodies must yell “FINALLY!” In their avatars mind. It’s the law from now on.
You see kids this is why the archaeological principle of leave things as you found them is important!
