seems like some nice languages, hopefully we get to see more of those 😛
also the lightning magic side of the Storm looks kinda.. empty, i wonder what’s up with that. maybe it’s not monsoon season
As a huge bionicle fan, I really like that you’ve found a way to justify an “environment neatly divided into element-based regions” thing. 😀
Also, it’s neat how the narration boxes look like they’ve been torn out of a book, or a collection of notes.
TL;DR: There’s a big storm, and nobody agrees what to call it, so everyone goes with the boringest one. It’s scary but predictable, like a horror movie you saw last month.
Allternet TL:DR: (to be a bit more satire) a bunch a people call a big, scary, magic, disaster storm different names so science did it’s thing where it takes the interesting thing and gives it a boring name. People are scared of the magic storm so a tall man uses the force to repel it. Narrator is Mumbo Jumbo in that he thinks something complex is simple.
Dal An-Rakhn literally means “The hand of Choas” Kendal means “right hand” so yes, “dal” means hand apparently, ken means right two, and I bet rakhn means chaos
i expect absolutely no people to know what im talking abt whatsoever but i read The Hand of Chaos and my mind flashed to The Death Gate Cycle immediately
I get the feeling an umbrella and galoshes aren’t going to cut it when that thing blows through.
The Rain in Spain falls mainly in the FEILDS OF DISPAIR CRUSHED BY THE UNENDING FLOW OF THE MAW
You know what this comic needs? An anime intro.
You know what this comic needs? An anime adaptation.

a permanent flash-storm, a plain wrecked by constant lightning bombardment with no spot to hide XD
eeeee
I wonder if the area inside the storm is blank for clarity’s sake or if it’s because it’s hard to map what exactly might be there
I needs more characters to love
just binge-read this and what great timing
lets get this WORLD-BUILDING i wanna know
Panel 1 is gorgeous O.o and the last Panel looks cool 🙂

Did you get very far?
This comic is UnLiKe AnY sEeN oN eArTh
The six elements:
Treble Clef, Question Mark, Bottle Opener, Sickle (1/2 Communism), Negitive Sign, and Horse Shoe
thank you for this
Am I the only one that thinks that the drawing in panel 4 looks a lot like the collector?
“The Maw”
I really hope this is a Star Wars reference
This page is very pretty! The recent pages have been in general. I like glowing light, I guess.

Wait, did I just give an actual summary? I need to step up my work.

Is the “dal” in Dal an-Rakhn the same as the “dal” in “Kendal”?

That’s some good world building
Careful Red: your Terry Pratchett fan is showing 🙂
the alt text I can HEAR Red saying (I can hear her saying all of them actually, but this one especially)
tell me more, o mysterious and judgmental narrator!
You’re such a kidder, Red
This big fancy storm is confusing and scary
But narrator person thinks that’s arbitrary
Are you sure red has only read the Mistborn books because this style of World building feels very much like the Cosmere to me.
I love those books!!!!!!
Now knowing the person who’s writing this and why they’re writing it, the very exposition-y feel and the tone of the exposition actually makes sense.
i expect absolutely no people to know what im talking abt whatsoever but i read The Hand of Chaos and my mind flashed to The Death Gate Cycle immediately
This magical storm sounds much more tame than actual storms, given the last sentences.
Oh, so it’s a highstorm. Narrated, in my head, by David Attenborough.
crap I was about to reply with agreement to this comment before I realised I was the one who had posted it
I have never been more ready to receive worldbuilding than right now
