the funny thing is, the only thing different about her is the eyes, and somehow her entire color pallet still ends up looking more vibrant. ART~✨

If not exploding = not being a monster then I’m doing much better than i thought.
So am I!
what is in the bag?
Tea making materials; probably ones to make her specifically look like a witch while brewing them
probably decaf
ukelele
You have no idea how much joy this reference gives me.

Probably not her kitty-cat-ears cloak. I don’t think we ever see that again </3
DOUBLE UPDATE PLEASE!!!
Holy crap I was watching one of your old Trope Talks and I NOTICED SOMETHING:

OH MY GOD! O-O Red REALLY had been thinking about this comic for a while now! I didn’t even notice that till you pointed it out! Mind officially blown!
Neat.
I miss Alinuas Cloak already 😛
I needs my cat ears
yesss i loved that cloak ;-;
What did you notice??
The trope talk was made back in 2016. In it Red talks about the first female character she created who in the final draft happens to look A LOT like Alinua, tattoo and all.
My lovely children, going off to destroy people… ;u;
Yeah, I thought I saw that too, but I wasn’t sure…
Holy crap it does look more vibrant.
Alinua wears confidence really well! It’s great to see her so… strong!
I think the fact that floofy girl not wearing her cloak is not only symbolic of her becoming comfortable with her own life but it’s also foreshadowing her coming out of the closet as a lesbian or something.
yes
Alinua knows Clothes Beam a la Piccolo from DBZ
Easily her most magical ability
You say you only meant to change the eyes, but I think you may have changed the hair color by accident too. Looking back at the previous pages the hair is definitely a bit paler.
TL;DR: Mollusk-Elf is ready to leave not-home! ~The Adventure Begins~
*Cue theme song*
The clothes were made specifically for Vash’s avatar, so I could see them being self cleaning/repairing. I’m sure he knows… knew a magic tailor.
Aw, I liked Alinua’s silver eyes! But I guess this is what happens when you mess with life magic
I can hear the Critical Role theme song
one of the many mysteries of the universe…..
for context, the alt text
the real mystery of this comic is how they keep cleaning and repairing sword-guy’s clothing so fast
I mean, green is a complement with purple. You went from all cool colors to mostly cool with one vibrant complementary accent. Makes sense that the rest of her pops more.
that’s called being undepressed which I have no expertise in
Are those birds? Cause they don’t have any legs. Do they even have beaks? Are they some kind of fantasy species of flying feathered thingies? Will the story adress them? Or will they always be a mystery? Am I overanalyzing this? If they’re birds did they evolve from dinosaurs? Were there dinosaurs in this world? Did evolution occur the way we know it? Or are they just created, from some vague idea of ”bird”? Are the shown ones different species, or is there sexual dimorphism going on? Are these things monogamous? Do they make nests? Can they land on things? Do they have hidden legs? Are they hunted by humans? Would their meat taste like chicken? What is going on and when will we know all this important world building information?
She is done regretting so bids her farewell
Of the place of her exile where many tears fell
Yeah I now she doesn’t say anything about tears in this, but given this is where she isolated herself thinking she was a monster I think it’s safe to assume she has cried in here.
The palette is probably more vibrant cause
1) green is really good at brightening things up
2) she is no longer wearing her cloak, which was black, so it definitely darkens the vibes
3) this is the first panel were she isn’t wearing the cloack in daylight, so the pallet can brighten up in sunlight, as it’s quite muted in the moonslight
