Waking up surprised to be alive is beginning to become a bit of a motif in this comic.
Hmm, I wonder if that was a glimpse of the soul of the primordial entity of life that’s still hanging around the world, as stated in the extra lore. After all, I believe it was implied that their souls cause the northern lights, which are now in the sky.
TL;DR: Introvert Elf realizes that the eldritch eye-thing is not, in fact, cupping her in its hands or staring at her with too many eyes. Those aurorae are kinda ominous, though.
