TL;DR: Introvert Elf gets a body and screams. It is not clear whether this is because of the eldritch eye-thing, the shock of suddenly having a body again, uncomfortable proximity to another person, or that person being an eldritch eye-thing.
Reading this comic finally (after years of wanting to and then never getting around to it) *after* playing Avowed (which came out earlier this year, like 6 years after this comic) and thinking, “Getting a lot of Avowed off of this…” š
Rereading this again because of the hiatus and because I need to reconnect emotionally with the characters: Red, where is her mouth!? This has bothered me since my first reading. Alinuaās old/unawakened/repressed soul was drawn with a mouth when she was trying to open the path to the Singing Caves, and without a mouth when she tore apart the Sentinel (legally distinct). Her new/reborn/freed soul of questionable status is drawn without a mouth here, without a mouth in Walter-vision, but possibly with a mouth in the dream sequence in the town inside Gleiciann (I donāt know if thatās representing the same aspect of Alinua since it looks less Life-y and more āAlinua but greenā)ā¦SO WHY WOULD HER SOUL NOT HAVE A MOUTH IN ANY SITUATION!? Can Souls not speak!? Or if they can use language (Primordial Life also does not have a mouth), is it through a weird method? This gives me too many existential questions. Maybe thatās my fault for taking this much from what could very easily just be artistic license.
