Cool! My old eyes missed seeing the lettering in the room(let alone make it out legibly) Thank you again to finding these Easter Eggs in Aurora and sharing!
The first word on the left is likely “Champion.” Since the ch phoneme is one letter, the letter count fits, and Champions, i.e. avatars of Light, were quite important to Ancient society; an importance that Huracan passed down to humans and elves once she discovered that they could inherit Light’s power.
Bro what. there’s an easy way??? I literally spent like two hours decoding it using based off a diagram in Jolon’s lab! (It’s best visible on the top right panel of 1.9.10, for anyone wondering)
I mean… unless there’ll be a time for some peacefull knitting lessons or something… Claws are quite convenient for picking at strands of wool and pushing them through needles! Unless you just rip the whole thing to shreds I guess… Don’t listen to me, I don’t knit. I was thinking of sewing. hhh–imgoodatstayingontopic~
Aurora Question #70: Reading through the comic again, and looking at the 4th panel of page 1.7.7 (https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-7-7/), I notice Zuurith, Tynan and Caliban. Do you think we’ll meet the rest of these gods in the future? Which one r U most excited about? For me it’s the one with four arms.
Reply link worked for me. I look foreword to more conversations between Caliban and Tahraim but Lady Huracan’s story would also wonderful but I would be content to get that from the Champ of Paladins. Gods listed in the Auroran Calendar all sound fascinating, Its a good read for background, check Extra Lore, Calendar section for the list.
Oh and @Q.M. I would never, ever bet that Red would deny herself the opportunity to use interesting characters to further her story, be they Gods, Spirits, Mice, or Monsters.
pretty sure Jiya the Crimson and The Nightmare Queen are two different Gods based on Ilya’s phrasing but i have about as much trust in myself as I have in the government so take that with a grain of salt
definitely, Asera cause we will cause if there’s one place that’s been implied so heavily that we haven’t seen is the academy and the academy is in Asera like there’s so much Implification that this place is going to be impressive also what do you think it will look like (the academy I mean) cause I’m this thinking like super wooden and full of books as well as lots and lots of levels
Jira: Cali! One of your warriors is swearing by me again.
Caliban: If it’s the eyepatch one with the ponytail, hands off!
Ok, that makes Falst prioritising Dainix’s wounds over his own a little better; if they were going to close this fast, better to give the magical healing to the other. From the dialogue, Falst may also be grateful for Dainix de-infecting his wound to allow for this.
I like their looks in panels 7 and 8, as they both realise that going outside will be dangerous, but staying where they are is no good. At least now they’re in a better position to move with their wounds tended to and both awake.
The conversation about Falst’s trauma will have to, understandably, wait until they’re free.
Links do not always work, Worst I some get get Bad Link when I click on Post Comment and have to wait until the program starts working again (I suggest waiting at least one hour but results vary) This also explains why we see double entry of comments as some time it takes minutes (or hours) to post comments successfully (for some commentors).
(looks left, then right) And never, ever try to label anyone ANYTHING in comments! (look over shoulder for Moderators ready to ponce like Paladins on anyone who dares like a certain Balrog tried to do to a certain Wizard written by a very famous British writer)
@Question Master
– I went back to look and I don’t think that the purple god in that panel is Zuurith because the hair texture and length doesn’t match
– A goddess named The Nightmare Queen was mentioned on Red’s tumblr so I am hoping we meet her
– Sorry my replies aren’t working so I had to tag you instead
Falst’s healing factor, the way he described it here, is almost exactly like the healing factor of one of my characters. Like, she also has to clean wounds to make sure they don’t get infected before they close AND has to make sure a weapon doesn’t get healed in there. Red and I had the same idea or something, wild
Jiya the Crimson, if I remember correctly from Red’s Tumblr, is the deity of war. So Dainix is basically saying, “If you don’t start taking your health seriously, I’ll kick your ass.”
Ah. Yeah, air circulation is pretty important in a bunker. Otherwise you start running out of oxygen.
With all they’ve been through, I just love Falst’s little smile and raised hands in panel three. “I’m not being self-destructive this time, I promise!” They’re bonding, it’s cute. Also that makes the “I know you’re not tactical about how I heal” line from last page a little funnier – of course Dainix doesn’t know quite how fast ferin heal (unless Falst is unusually fast for ferin, but Alinua had the same worry in Zuurith when he got shot with darts and Tess seemed to understand after Alinua pointed it out so I’m assuming healing close to this fast is somewhat normal), of course Falst isn’t going to think to explain until now because he’s not used to working with others. It’s great.
Have you ever considered making a Ferin class for D&D 5e? I normally don’t like homebrew, but dang if I don’t love the idea of playing a Ferin. No particular warrior, mage, or whatever training beyond some minor tricks and techniques depending on which subclass you take (could have an expert, warrior, and caster subclass), but a class focused entirely on stat boosting and self healing. Maybe some legendary actions as you reach higher levels.
Is there a reason you’re going for class rather than race? I gotta say though, caster ferin seems… self–contradictive, as ferin can’t be mages. Unless you meant like Falst is doing with the lacrimas, which gives me artificer vibes… it’s interesting how one would go about implementing that! But I think some people actually WERE making an Aurora TTRPG thing – I don’t remember if it was a modification on D&D or it’s own thing, but I saw it on the subreddit quite a while ago.
It’s something about the air. It’s so tempting to just rest a little longer… But at this point falling asleep is a dire risk, though surely it’ll be alright? A little longer. little bit. To prepare for what’s outside… But… what’s this– stum-bling rhy-thm?
Breathing speeds up… slowly, it feels a little warmer, it seems a little… shallow, it’s just ever so co…zy, unlike outside this little cove of ticking time–bomb safety – d’you know asphyxiation is a primal fear? But what can be more primal, than straight–up getting eaten, there’s something even worse outside and does it even need to breathe surrounded on all darkest sides step out and sharpen all you have there doesn’t seem to be a help— *GASP* –ch–
It doesn’t matter. Need to breathe. Move outside the brief reprieve from primal fear to primal need.
rare falst smile! back to business as usual though, i suppose

Where’d you find the lettering system?
You can actually find it online. Just search “Aurora Comic Alphabet” It is one of the first image results

Thanks : )
Red make Falst describe his abilities without making him know them from painful and traumatic experiences challenge 2023
Impossible!

i personally want to meet the one with three eyes. they look very cool

Looking forward to the nightmare queen!
do we know which one she is? My bet would be on the three-eyed red one and I would too love to meet her

I’m excited to meet Jiya the Crimson. Characters keep mentioning her and now I’m curious.

I think we are definitely going to hear more from Caliban! (sorry I can’t seem to figure out how to directly reply)
The word reply is a link. More Gods and Godesses at least visably rubernecking if not involved would be d-vine! X3

One more amazing page with fantastic art, characters being themselves, and plot and story and aaaaah I love this comic so much <3
My bet is erin and alinua show up next and some how fuck something up
oh no, not the plot!

Maybe, and I’m just spitballing here, you and Red are both clever and creative about how you implement superpowers into your writing?
[the plot waves hello]
Jiya the Crimson, if I remember correctly from Red’s Tumblr, is the deity of war. So Dainix is basically saying, “If you don’t start taking your health seriously, I’ll kick your ass.”
Ah. Yeah, air circulation is pretty important in a bunker. Otherwise you start running out of oxygen.
ok thats good, falst actually had a plan & wasnt just refusing to refuse.
also- holy crap thats FAST healing??? Ik hes ferin, but DANG.
So… so he’s not being self-destructive? Sweet. Good job Falst.

Update: found it! https://www.reddit.com/r/AuroraComic/comments/pjqvur/one_of_the_fans_on_the_aurora_discord_made_an/
Wow okay it has 137 pages! There’s a thing on ferin starting on page 18! I haven’t actually read any of it yet though.
This is amazing! I started the comic last week and I’m all caught up now LOL I love this comic so much!
bro were nearing the end of the chapter everyone 37 pages I think that’s the most any chapter has had
Chapters 15 and 19 had more, with 38, but yeah. Also,i just noticed: There’s another chapter in the archive! “Daybreak”.
AAAAA thank’s fo the head’s up it’s so PRETTTEEEEEY!!!!!!!!
This was a nice reprieve from the action and angst. I love the way you’re pacing this story. Thanks for making this!
Me too
TL;DR: Dude, we gotta progress the plot.
OH MY GOODNESS THE NEW CHAPTER COVER AAAAAAAA IT’S SO PRETTY HELP

He may heal fast, which is hard too
But the time to move is well overdue
Tsk, can’t get Quality ventilation anymore
