Maybe just kill the A.M. right then and there, hide the body, walk out and pretend that he didn’t just kill him, and then use his fire powers to punch holes in teh prison walls and liberate all the prisoners?
I still don’t know how the A.M. intends to force Kendal to fight, but that was a surprisingly powerful way to leverage Dainix. Dainix needs his freedom too much to pass up on this. You can tell how conflicted and any he is, but he NEEDS this. I can’t wait. This fight is going to be epic.
Dainix: … Maybe I should take that guard’s advice.
Ah, the old carrot-and-stick approach; A.M. was all smiles and great offers of freedom last page and now his true colours, and the stick, are on display.
“Vash was very warlike”. Interesting comment from the Arenamaster. Is he saying that due to bias against Vash as a Zuurith official and on the receiving end of Vash’s ire, or could there be some things about Vash that Kendal hasn’t talked about. It’s probably the former but I don’t rule the later out.
Oh no. Panel 7. That skin cricking with fire energy. It’s like Erin’s finger twitches from chapter 7 only it gives me dread instead of hope. While I would be quick to say it’s more proof of the demon theory I’m going to hold back. We don’t know what Ignan fire magic looks like when performed; this could be standard fare for the species when they use their abilities. (after all look how different Erin and Alinua’s life magic techniques look)
What will Kendal do? My hypothesis of him fighting has done a complete 180. Going from refusing to fight and show up Zuurtith in front of his citizens to yes he will fight, not because Zuurith told him but to ensure Dainix’s freedom.
Sir, you drive a hard bargain. However, you do not know Kendal as well as Dainix does. AND you also seem to have weirdly preconceived ideas about his person. Now the Dynamic Duo must come up with a plan… (For the record I wanna point out that none of this would’ve happened if Falst had been allowed his Prison Break™. So basically, this is all… Alinua’s fault?… that can’t be right…)
Something’s going on with our boy’s hand there… Lava maybe? And are you sure the arenamaster and the collector aren’t best buds on social media or something? C’mon they might have gone to the same college that churns out evil trash who disregard the value of life altogether? Besties who went different ways and promised to come back five hundred years later to see if they’re still single? I would have strung these two and the doctor who framed Falst together if they had the same eyes. These two definitely have some relation because of how their eyes are the same colour and they have a similar dressing style. The collector might be the arenamaster’s parent or sibling too.
Look at this guy, making assumptions and speaking for Kendal. You know, that thing Alinua just yelled at Erin and Falst about last night?
I really, really want to see Mama Life snap at this guy.
@ThengaMudiya
If I’m not wrong, The Collector has said she’s been alive for hundreds of years, so if they are related, it’s probably more like an ancestor than anything else
The chapter is over, the new cover art is up, we only have to wait until Wednesday to see it- ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN
Also, it seems like Dainix needs some hand lotion. His skin is cracking. As someone who is experiencing winter currently, I relate. Of course, I don’t have to worry about fire spilling out of those cracks….
Which brings me to my compilation of the evidence I could find for Dainix being some sort of weird fire mage/ the Demon. I was thinking about this over the weekend this page provided new evidence.
In Dainix’s first fight, we see him pinned down by the elephant shifter. In the panel where the shifters says “And no more holding back”, we can see Dainix’s eyes glowing and a bit of fire sparks lingering on the bidet where Dainix is holding it. While speaking with Kendal, Dainix seems to imply that he was a normal human before something turned him into a “weapon” like Kendal. His eyes glow slightly a few times, most recently while talking to Caliban-in-disguise, and during that conversation Caliban tells him that he’s afraid to let loose with some sort of implied abilities that he’s too scared to use. And then on this page, we see Dainix’s hand crack to reveal what looks similar to lava underneath and a much more explicit eye glow. On the chapter cover for the next one, this little crack has multiplied and spread over his entire body.
Whether Dainix is the Demon or it’s just some sort of power that he got from being Caliban’s champion, I think it’s safe to conclude he is not a normal fire mage. Hell, whatever his deal is, it can be hidden from people very effectively. The Arenamaster doesn’t think he’s a mage, and according to Red there is a way to test for that sort of thing that they presumably would’ve used, since Ignans have so many fire mages. SO basically what I’m saying is that something weird’s going on here and I really want to know what.
Did the Arenamaster just show his true colours? Is Dainix about to show his true colours, literally? Will Kendal actually have this situation properly explained to him before being thrown into the arena? Is Vash the morally just paragon we thought him to be or is Zuurith just a biased god-child? Does the Arenamaster have a bag of Shrike’s Temptations cat treats in his desk in case Dainix goes postal?
And a secondary congrats to those who also guessed C from last week’s Futurivia. So, it seems as though things are in the clear for Dainix and Kendal, so long as they follow the Arenamaster’s rules. And with a chapter ending, this seems like a perfect place to cut to another perspective. So, my dear commenters… Who are we viewing next?
A: The Crime Trio (Alinua, Falst, & Tess)
B: Hi-fi beats to rush to your friends to (Erin)
C: The FBI, but not (Shrike and Crew)
D: The Federal Jerk (Zuurith)
@LizardWithHat The Arenamaster pulls a lever under a desk and he just SHOOTS off backwards in his chair.
So, the next chapter bears the name of one of Tynan’s many, many epithets. Here we fucking go, folks!
Between the cracking on this page and the next chapter cover, it’s looking like the demon Dainix theory is correct after all, as it seems the inner fire is trying to get out. I’m holding out hope that Dainix hasn’t killed anyone, and won’t kill anyone, by accident.
ThengaMudiyan:
The Collector’s immortality has been explained in-story to be a unique situation, meaning that the arenamaster isn’t centuries old just because he looks like someone who does. Plus, considering that The Collector wants to end all life short of Life, I don’t think she’d take the time to create more life, meaning she has no descendants. Just because two people look slightly similar doesn’t mean they’re automatically in cahoots together; I’m certain the two assholes in question have never even heard of each other.
Knew he was a demon! I can’t wait to see how this goes!
Also, I’m noticing another instance of the theme of villains assuming everyone would be as bad as them if given the chance. Jolon assumed everyone would treat Falst as a monster, and the AM assumes Kendal would be as uncaring as he would be in the same situation.
Okay, so my question is, who is the villain you hate most, and the villain that you want to smash to a pulp the least? Personally, I hate Zuurith because his city and system is so messed up, and he’s so delusional and annoying he has no self awareness, and he was kinda racist towards Falst and Dainix. He captured two members of the floof squad and is trying to capture three more, I could go on for a while about how much I hate him. (I also hate Tynaan because he feeds off fear (he could really use some therapy, maybe a little tea) and he is currently planning on destroying an entire city and going back on his oath). I don’t want to smash Shrike as badly, cos she’s a badass bounty hunter woman. ( I hate the collector as well, but I know she feels that what she is doing is right, and honestly I think she needs some mental help (she reminds me a bit of azula from ATLA, minus the unloving father (who knows though, she probably did have a crap family, cos most villains like her do), but that might just be me drawing connections to everything Avatar))
For ‘most hated/disliked’, I’m split between the Collector, because she’s a murderous torturer (and her belief she’s in the right makes her worse, since she will not stop), and Zuurith because he’s a tyrannical dictator.
Weirdly enough, the villain I dislike the least and the villain I least want to hurt aren’t the same people. I feel like Shrike is just trying to make a living in a corrupt society which doesn’t care who gets hurt, but I dislike her for her particular choice of career. The villain I dislike the least is actually the Void Dragon, since he’s just a bit too other for me to really dislike, but I still want him dead/imprisoned forever/otherwise defeated because I prefer the world of Aurora in a not-dead state.
Hooooooo things are HAPPENING, AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!
Looks like the demon theory could actually be correct… This could be fun. New chapter cover looks worrying. I wonder if another option for Dainix’s deal is that he has lava magic instead of fire magic, and this is way more potent & deadly? It doesn’t look like there’s a malevolent force breaking through him on the new chapter cover, just an excess of his own magic. Demons seem to be seperate entities who break out through the host, so I think if we had something like that, it would be foreshadowed by like, eyes or something. Maybe it’s too early to tell. He’s definitely not in control.
@Hiii: opinion time on the villains! wall of text, ~here we come~! I regret nothing.
The Collector is a terrible person but is actually closer to being brainwashed/clinically insane than anyone else, so she gets a lot of slack in my book. Her mind literally broke after touching Life. Probably the one I would vote for “dont want to get smashed quite as badly as everyone else”, but still deserves it.
I kind of liked Jolon. He really had no excuse for everything he did, but I can’t find myself to hate him. He absolutely deserved what he got, but he was super nice at the start & was kinda similar to Erin. They probably could have switched places, actually; Erin’s love of research could motivate him to do anything.
Tynan has the theatrics of a god, and I love that. If we’re all correct & he’s waiting for the perfect time to come crashing in, that’s hilarious, regardless of whether he has a reason to wait or not. He’s a bit of an a**hole, but how much I hate him is going to depend very much on what he does when he gets here. More theatrical or more sadistic? We’ll see.
I probably hate Shrike the most, for almost getting Alinua, Falst & Tess caught. She’s really good at what she does, and I respect her abilities & planning; but what she does is kidnap people, and that’s not cool.
Zuurith.. is complicated. IMO, he’s also locked in his own twisted system of justice, since he’s the god of it. Vash was incredibly protective of all his people; maybe Zuurith wants to be similar but is far more of a maniacal control freak. We haven’t actually seen any natural crime yet, so it’s possible his system works really well & he just went way over the top with it. Far too much of a god complex tho. (haha pun)
The Arenamaster is a different question. He’s a sadistic b**** and deserves everything coming to him. He’s “following Zuurith’s orders”, except that rn, he’s not; he created his own orders & convinced Zuurith they should apply. The man is part of the problem, he’s cheesing the terrible system & has no excuse AT ALL to be doing any of this except personal power, the love of manipulation & some gold. Kill him.
@Hiii: Villain I dislike the most is Shrike for causing Kendal’s friends and Tess so much trouble. Villain I dislike the least is the Arenamaster for being clueless about Kendal. I dislike Zuurith for putting this whole system in place, but since Tynan is absolutely going to clown him, he goes between the first two. I don’t have particularly strong feelings toward the other villains.
I think I’ve figured it out, what if the demon works like an infection and he went to look for ways to stop it because everyone back at his home is infected with demon and he’s not fighting hard because if he fights too hard the demon will awaken and kill a bunch of people it makes so much sense
@Humanoid Clay
I’m going to place a dark horse bet and guess that IF we cut away from Dainix, we’re cutting to Tynan.
@hiii
rn I’m making myself a bag of popcorn in anticipation of Dainix blowing up on the arenamaster. As for the villain I least want to see harmed… With Zuurith, I’m in an odd situation where I do want him to get some sort of comeuppance, but I don’t necessarily want him to get *hurt* because that could have negative impacts on innocent members of the populace. I have similar issues with VD Walter, what with him being in Erin’s body and all. But as for the *villain* I’d least want to get hurt on their own merits, I’m going to side with DragonMaster66 and say the Collector. I feel like she needs a wakeup call more than a beating. As for current/potential *antagonists* I’d least want to see harmed, hands-down the paladins. Bonus category: non-villainous antagonist I *most* want to smack upside the head is Caliban. I DON’T like manipulators, even well-intentioned ones. Though I also recognize that Caliban could still turn out to be villainous.
I know that this whole arc is probably going to be a dramatic fight and stuff but honestly? I’m just picturing a literal golden retriever put in the same general vicinity of someone who loves dogs and drinks tea in prison with said golden retriever and i can’t help but laugh.
/unhinged rant
THIS IS THE THIRD FUCKING TIME I’M TRYING TO WRITE THIS MOTHERFUCKING COMMENT AND THE FUCKING PAGE KEEPS RELOADING.
Honestly Red I bet there are tons of plugins for WordPress to have something mobile friendly AND with a working reply function.
/over /not that mad I just needed to vent /not personal (for now)
SO… I read the last chapter again, and as everyone has already guessed, Dainix is hiding is magic probably because he doesn’t want to use his powers, since he’s afraid of what could happen (or did already happen in the past).
In a world where the essence of the Primordials is very much present, we could go a step further and say that, aside from his connection with Caliban (which should exclude emissaries from being mages, but Caliban doesn’t really act as his “patron” either, or at least seems like a very different relationship compared to Asera & Galen or Zuurith and The Arenamaster), his powers come from being some sort of reincarnation, fragment or vessel for the Fire Primordial, or as everyone has been calling it: a “Demon” of the desert.
My personal theory is that he was banished from the desert for destroying his village (or at the very least is searching for redemption after some incident), rather than being sent on some voyage, possibly because he hurt or killed someone last time he tried to use those powers (bonus points if that someone was dear to him). The whole desert is probably the result of a Capital-F-Fire explosion after all.
We don’t know how sentient and “alive” Fire is right now and if this may resolve(?) like Alinua and the Chimeric plague consequentially.
But given that Caliban is pushing him in that direction, and the Arenamaster isn’t giving him any other choice, Dainix might be more than capable to override his fears and unleash his full, uncontrollable powers to kill Kendal and maybe even carve his way out of the town, probably with a lot of collateral damage involved…
And btw @Humanoid Clay my guess is NONE OF THAT because we are either going to cut to Tynan or add some more meat on the table by summoning The Lady’s glowing Champion (aka Michael), SIKE!!!!!!!!!!!
TL;DR: Five more years in the timeout corner unless you want to reconsider a fight you can’t possibly win against someone who has no interest in fighting you, no biggie right?
Somebody:
Welcome to the arena, the Champion vs. Demigod match is set to begin in 15 minutes! Tonight’s snack special: barbecued skunk man! (Options are either well-done or charred; if you prefer medium-rare, you’re shit out of luck.)
Forgot the option of the Unreliable Narrator. Dainix very well could be the demon & he just fudged his story slightly so that it looks like the demon died & doesnt cast suspicion on himself. Certainly be interesting to see.
Also I didnt even consider the possibility of Caliban being evil, but I love it. He’s their champion, implied to be their weapon, theorized to have destroyed his village accidentally, and they seem to be inciting him to release his power again in Zuurith, a large city. What they have to gain from mass collatoral damage is unclear, and I dont think they would involve the blacksmith dude if they were doing this for selfish purposes (or theyre just really good at this), but it kind of fits. Maybe a morally gray god? Wild.
Has anyone considered if Dainix could be the vessel of Primordial Fire the way Alinua is the vessel of Primordial Life? Like, it’s probably not that, but it would be so cool if it were!
I actually don’t really hate any of the villains that much, they’re all sort of like Voldemort. Not really hateable, just there. Or maybe im just not as worked up as I was several pages ago when some of the villains were first introduced.
The one I dislike the most would have to be shrike, she shot Falst in the arm and that’s unforgivable.
The one I dislike the least is probably…. Hmmmm, I don’t really know. I guess the collector cuz she isn’t doing what she is cuz she’s evil, she’s doing it cuz she believes that it’s right and I sort of respect that.
(Not that what she’s doing is justified, but it’s better than doing something you KNOW is wrong, like cheating on an exam or provoking a small child into crying)
Also, a short art analysis since I haven’t done one in a while.
If u look closely all of the shadows have a purple hue, that’s because Red uses the same color to shade everything. There’s a blending mode (for non digital artist, that’s sort of like a filter) that darkens and saturates the color.
@Hermit Thrush & The Lolest: I didn’t expect Tynan to get this much support, so I’m adding him offically as a bonus option here. And to you particularly Hermit Thrush, your terminology inspired me. From now on, any unexpected bonus options found in Futurivia shall be named Gift Horses. And finally, thank you for those who participated in these. Your answers are what let’s me know this series is still appreciated, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. See you all tomorrow :-)!
Indigo Toxin:
Thanks! I’m not as good as you guys when it comes to theories and such, but I do enjoy communicating on this comic! It definitely helps me get through the day, and I appreciate all of you!
Hermit Thrush:
Good point with Tynaan! And I feel EXACTLY the same way about Caliban!! I kinda like them for their snark though, and I really want them to turn out to be helpful and not as manipulative (not to mention the floof squad could use some godly support, they already have enough antagonistic gods to deal with (aka Zuurith, though Tynaan is kinda godly, so if we’re talking about power wise, then I guess he counts?)
Indigo Toxin:
Wait, wait, so let me get this straight…
Casually totalling a city filled with thousands of innocent people, killing everyone inside: “Eh, she’s got her priorities straight, I respect that.”
Shooting one person in the arm with a non-fatal crossbow bolt: “Absolutely unforgivable.”
…WHAT???
I SWEAR IF THE ARENAMASTER DOES NOT DIE EXTREMELY SOON I WILL RAGE!!! FRIED SKUNK MAN FOR SNACK!!! F****** DIE ALREADY!!
(Okay, so I got a little angry, but STILL, I want this dude DEAD, like the crap he is)
TheUnknownGame and Indigo Toxin:
WHOA WHOA WHOA YOU TWO!! DON’T START FIGHTING! Indigo Toxin: He’s got a point, she’s just trying to survive and make a living and she didn’t destroy an entire city. TheUnknownGame: I think the comments section is in agreement that she is pretty much mentally insane, so… (I’m sorry I stepped in, I have a temper towards others, but when it comes to seeing friends or people I know fight, (I consider pretty much anyone I talk with for .2 seconds my friend, if you don’t like that, just tell me, sorry if I make you uncomfortable, I’m kinda an extrovert) I always have to break it up…)
Sorry I post so many comments, it’s definitely very comforting to me to be able to talk with others without showing my face or getting judged for my age or looks. I absolutely love this comic and the people here and I feel like I can be open here… I’m sorry if I make anyone uncomfortable with the constant responses to absolutely everyone, just tell me to back off and I will, I can be kinda clingy…
Hiii and Indigo Toxin:
I wasn’t trying to start a fight so much as I was immensely confused… admittedly, that is perhaps one of the spiciest comments I’ve posted to date. (I need to watch myself, I know from experience that it’s hard to discern tone and intent through text alone.)
@TheUnknownGame I think what’s happening with people, e.g. Indigo Toxin, disliking Shrike more than The Collector is a cross between protective empathy and “a million is a statistic.” For one thing, most of us have a personal connection to Falst, so the second someone harms him our automatic instinct is to TEAR THEM TO SHREDS *cough* excuse me… Whereas the Collector hasn’t directly harmed the main cast yet. Also, part of it is the sheer scope of what she did: the fact that she killed an entire city means it’s hard to wrap our brains around that. Most people don’t have experience with wrongdoing on that scale, so it’s hard for them to wrap their heads around it, which automatically makes it more distant, less real. Harm done to an individual by racist law enforcement, however… that’s PERSONAL. So even on those grounds, I think a lot of people would dislike Shrike more, even if they recognize that The Collector has done more harm and is the bigger threat. And that’s not even getting into how responsible The Collector is for her own actions right now, which is another reason some people are cutting her some slack.
Yeah I get why your confused about my reasoning. Imma elaborate a bit. She’s sort of like thanos, she THINKS what she’s doing is right not that it IS right.
As for Shrike: I do agree with the others she DOES have to make a living, but as aforementioned I “like like” Falst, hes my type, and I get pissed whenever the guys I like like are hurt or insulted.
This is accentuated by the fact that Kiba (from Naruto) is often exploited to make sasuke or Naruto seem cooler
So yeah it’s less of which one is more evil and more of whoever I personally hate more.
[I see you all judging me for having a crush on Falst, and to that I say “well he’s my type what am I supposed to do?!”]
Now that I reread the old comment it DOES sound like I think she’s an alright person and I apologize for that. My friend keeps telling me I need to fix the way I word things
Indigo Toxin:
LOL no worries! Part of the reason why I love this comic so much is I feel like I don’t get judged! I think Falst is a great character! Personally, I wish I had your confidence when it comes to that sort of thing. (I would tell you why, but part of me feels like you guys would look at me differently, and I really find it peaceful to have a place where I DON’T have to deal with that stuff)
Evidence may seem to say otherwise, but I’m pretty sure the Arena Master knows exactly what he’s doing taunting Dainix like that. Perhaps it’s his resemblance to MCU Loki (and I’ve admittedly been marathoning a rather excellent MCU fic), but something tells me that he’s well aware of what Dainix actually is, and is purposely goading him in order to make him lose his cool. To continue the analogy a bit further, if the demon theory is true, then Dainix bears not a small amount of resemblance to the Hulk, in regards to needing to keep his powers/other half tightly under control–and even if it’s not, it’s still very clear that there would be catastrophic consequences if his hold on them faltered. and since emotional control is key with volatile abilities…Well. If Dainix loses the ability to think clearly, he loses the ability to keep his fire tamed. And if that fire is a demon-self, which may or may not be capable of higher thought and reasoning… Should Dainix turn, the Arena Master gets the fight he wants anyway, since even if both parties are initially reluctant, Kendal is going to be obligated to fight demon!Dainix in order to both survive the encounter, and to protect the spectators–and, if needbe, to kill his former friend (and if Dainix fully loses control, I can see him asking for this mercy, even though Kendal probably won’t want to go through with it, despite recognizing it as necessary).
(Not that that’s likely to be the final outcome)
And speaking of Kendal, we also get to see him experience (though secondhand and while he’s not actually present) the Clone’s Dilemma–namely, how much is he himself in the eyes of others (and in his own, of course), and how much is he his template (specifically, Vash)? The Arena Master is clearly expecting someone completely different than who he actually is, of course, but it’s not exactly hard to see why that might be the case, given that some of Vash’s knowledge and instincts seem to have passed onto Kendal (and, obviously, they share the same face). And, of course, there’s the sword theory–and if that’s true, then the line blurs even further, because if Kendal-the-Sword was imbued with a fragment of Vash’s soul, which later became a sort of dormant consciousness, which then was somehow transferred into Vash’s empty vessel and became Kendal-the-Person…Then even Kendal’s soul–his self–is not entirely his own, and it’s quite likely that this is able to be perceived by the other gods, and may even be the source of the “godling” nickname he’s picked up. It really does make one wonder…
The mention of Vash being warlike is quite interesting, given that that’s not the role we’ve seen him in. A brash warrior, yes. A protector–verymuch so, especially since city-gods are inflluenced by their peoples’ needs, and i believe that Vash-the-City was built where it was due to the location being defensible. But I don’t think that we’ve ever seen him act in a way described as “warlike”… admittedly, the city-gods being what they are, it’s quite possible he’d mellowed, or that there’s some historic lore we’ve yet to see–and I suppose, from a certain point of view, his battle with Tynan could be seen as thus. But otherwise it does feel like a story blown out of proportion by a paranoid individual, and we all know at least one of those happens to be running around at the moment….
We’ll just have to see how this all turns out. The cover art for the next chapter is certainly looking promising.
wow, I didn’t think there was a character that I’d actually hate.
*SPOILERS ARE PROBABLY AHEAD*
The Collector is creepily cool; I enjoy Walter’s monologues; Zuurith has epic hair; and Tynan made an epic bossfight possible. I suppose the only people I genuinely despise are Jolon and the Arenamaster.
“The hero complex in that boy could power a small country”… was the city of Vash small? Because I think that hero complex’s last owner basically DID power a country with it.
Maybe just kill the A.M. right then and there, hide the body, walk out and pretend that he didn’t just kill him, and then use his fire powers to punch holes in teh prison walls and liberate all the prisoners?
Seems like a solid plan to me

Dang the cover for chapter 15 looks dope!
boy fight boy fight BOY FIGHT BOY FIGHT
Please finish this ark with the A.M served appropriate karma. I want to strangle this asshole SO bad.
Uhh… what’s happening to Dainix’s hand…
Pretty sure that’s blackmail!! Dainix should definetly press charges!&!¥°[
(It’s not like Zuurith’s gouvernment is a corrupt police state or anything…)
Not sure if this is the right place to raise this, but I’m noticing the comments only load if I’m on the front page URL (https://comicaurora.com/)
If I go to the back page URL (https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-14-31/), comments go *poof* (like Dainix’s composure, apparently :p )
Dinax is taking this ahorrent attempt of extortion well it seems … hope the arenamaster has a get away strategy.
Pretty sure he can’t really get evidence of this
Dainix: … Maybe I should take that guard’s advice.
Glad to see my fiery scarboi about to go absolutely mad on these lads
I’m never getting over Dainix’s emo fringe lmfao he looks like every guy 13yo had a crush on
(this is a compliment /gen)
Sir, you drive a hard bargain. However, you do not know Kendal as well as Dainix does. AND you also seem to have weirdly preconceived ideas about his person. Accidentally posted same comment in last page sowwy. *Cute kitten photo*
Look at this guy, making assumptions and speaking for Kendal. You know, that thing Alinua just yelled at Erin and Falst about last night?
I really, really want to see Mama Life snap at this guy.
The arenamaster is a JERK >:( So is Zuurith >:(
Please tell me that the glow in his eyes indicates that he is about to tear apart the arenamaster.
I can see Kendall and Danix sitting peacefully on the arena, talking out their issues over a nice cup of tea.
WELP; zurrith finally pushed him over the edge, and if they dont get a water bucket real soon, i forsee a dead skunk man in the near future
wouldnt it be funny if the arenamaster was secretley a skunk shifter
Oh yeah, cause pressuring the guy with fire based Hulk syndrome is a good idea, that’ll never go wrong!
But seriously, I’m just imagining Kendal dodging all of the attacks and doing nothing to fight back, defeating the purpose of the whole affair.
Alt texed: shows what you know the hero complex on that boy could power a small contry
@ThengaMudiya
Is that the sound of thunder in the distance?
Tune in This Week to Find Out!
And a secondary congrats to those who also guessed C from last week’s Futurivia. So, it seems as though things are in the clear for Dainix and Kendal, so long as they follow the Arenamaster’s rules. And with a chapter ending, this seems like a perfect place to cut to another perspective. So, my dear commenters…
Who are we viewing next?
@Hiii I don’t mind that Tynan feeds on fear. I mind that he hurts people to make more fear.
He’s an a****** but the is it just me or does the arena master look really tired?
Tahraim, speaking of Caliban’s ‘stagnating champion’: “If he were ready to leave, he’d walk out of there himself.”
I think he’s ready to leave.
Kill him.
@Basmbee: I did notice that! I think he has wrinkle lines by his eyes. I dont know if he’s old, or tired, or both. Kinda weird.
Also just noticed the alt text & its HILARIOUS.
Zuurith, I name you the God of Chains.
Now have the storm destroy the city already.
@Humanoid Clay: My guess is either A or D.
Well. I for one can’t wait to see that bit of hubris bite the jailor in the butt.
I think I’ve figured it out, what if the demon works like an infection and he went to look for ways to stop it because everyone back at his home is infected with demon and he’s not fighting hard because if he fights too hard the demon will awaken and kill a bunch of people it makes so much sense
“Vash was very warlike”
He, bet not all his fights with other minor gods where as unambiguous as the one with Tynan.
welp-
@Humanoid Clay
I’m going to place a dark horse bet and guess that IF we cut away from Dainix, we’re cutting to Tynan.
@hiii
rn I’m making myself a bag of popcorn in anticipation of Dainix blowing up on the arenamaster.
Wow. The Arenamaster really does not know Kendall at all. He’s setting himself up for disappointment.
TL;DR: Five more years in the timeout corner unless you want to reconsider a fight you can’t possibly win against someone who has no interest in fighting you, no biggie right?
*Sizzling intensifies*
@Hiii
Also, neat question
Also, a short art analysis since I haven’t done one in a while.
If u look closely all of the shadows have a purple hue, that’s because Red uses the same color to shade everything. There’s a blending mode (for non digital artist, that’s sort of like a filter) that darkens and saturates the color.
Oh and another thing, Red made sure that there’s a consistent style of fashion in Zurrith.
The J.A., Arenamaster, and Zuzu all have the same type of robe but with different colors
Aaahhh, I keep noticing new details!
I’m the last panel there’s an orange gradient coming from behind Dainnix, light coming from behind his arm? Is he going berserk?
@Hermit Thrush & The Lolest: I didn’t expect Tynan to get this much support, so I’m adding him offically as a bonus option here. And to you particularly Hermit Thrush, your terminology inspired me. From now on, any unexpected bonus options found in Futurivia shall be named Gift Horses. And finally, thank you for those who participated in these. Your answers are what let’s me know this series is still appreciated, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. See you all tomorrow :-)!
Oh lord he crackin’
The Lolest:
Michael? Hmmm… I LIKE IT!! RED YOU NEED TO NAME THIS DUDE MICHAEL OR I WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
TheUnknownGame: I think the comments section is in agreement that she is pretty much mentally insane, so… (I’m sorry I stepped in, I have a temper towards others, but when it comes to seeing friends or people I know fight, (I consider pretty much anyone I talk with for .2 seconds my friend, if you don’t like that, just tell me, sorry if I make you uncomfortable, I’m kinda an extrovert) I always have to break it up…)
TheUnknownGame:
(Besides, IT’S FALST!)
TheUnknownGame:
(Besides, IT’S FALST!)
To: Hiii
Don’t sweat it. I used to post a sea of comments too. I’m only quieter now because I’m not checking in as much. School, art, and shiny hunting. Haha.
Looking forward to seeing whether the glowy eyes in the last panel is a magicky mood ring or Danix chargin’ his laser
@TheUknownGame
@TheUnknownGame
And yeah it’s hard to discern tone of voice thru text, ever since I realized that I try to avoid lashing out in comment sections
well I expect this from the government
Not that the collector is a good person, but the question WAS limited to villains so none of them are really decent people aren’t they?
To Gray Dragon:
Welcome! Just so you know, while greatly appreciated, the alt text is Hermit Thrush’s contribution to the comments, unless this has recently changed.
Have a great day!
Well, the ‘Dainix is the monster’ theory has just gained additional credibility points.
Alt text: shows what you know, the hero complex on that boy could power a small country
wow, I didn’t think there was a character that I’d actually hate.
HAH. Love it.
