Here Comes the Sun, by the Beetles. I’ll link you to Red’s cover instead of the original song, because we all love Red here: https://youtu.be/aX6ec0KPLko
i bless the rains here in [wait what the heck is the world this takes place in called]
etc. etc. because i don’t wanna write the whole thing – i’m lazy
There’s definitely something to be said about self-aware villains who embrace what they are. No excuses. No self-delusion. Just pure greed/evil/vengeance/whatever-their-driving-force-happens-to-be.
Not that we’ve seen enough to know exactly what this guy’s deal is. Just saying.
Standard rule of anime: After striking someone down expect them to come back up again with a power boost. However if their defeat coincided with rain beginning to fall they are considered down for the count. Sorry grassland/Journey god, it’s the law.
This is actually the first instance we’ve directly seen of two gods, barring Primordials, interacting with one another. Follow exactly what Gleicann said about it being a serious transgression.
I wonder, a few pages ago I hypothesised that the Collector deliberately targeted Vash because it would bring Tynan into striking distance for her. But maybe she could also benefit by taking the souls of any gods Tynan weakens as he rampages across the land as well before nabbing the big fish.
Damn, that’s an interestig idea. Maybe the floof squad will try to stop Tynan, get their asses kicked as always, and before one of them can go godkiller-mode, the collector shows up and they have a big fight. Just kidding, it would probably take 3 panels for the collector to beat Tynan. Now the floof squad has a much bigger problem, as well as a Kendalified Tynan body. I have no idea how they’d get out of that, but it would kinda be cool to have a more aggressive (sorta) rivalry in the squad. All I’m saying is: let Tynan’s “Kendal” join.
I see them putting up a fair-ish fight against Tynan, Kendal attempt to make a new vow, and while they’re all distracted the Collector stabs Tynan with her knife, disperse his storm with water, wind and lightning magic, then thanks the gang for their timely distraction.
Oh, I like the thought of a “Kendal” of Tynan left after the Collector took his soul. Maybe as a subversion this “Kendal” wouldn’t want to rescue Tynan, knowing that if Tynan is freed he’d just take possession of his body again and he’ll no longer exist. Might instil seeds of doubt into Kendal and the gang over what Vash will do with Kendal, his incarnated body, when he’s freed.
I can’t get into my ceramics school call so I’m reading Aurora instead. RIP Journey-looking avatar, hope your lands and inhabitants aren’t hurt by this stormy-boi.
here comes the rain, doo doo doo doo~
Ha, that’s exactly what I was thinking!
Here comes the rain, doo doo doo doo
Here comes the rain, and I say
Tynan’s here
Journey-ish god
You’ve had a long, calm, sunny break time
Journey-ish god
It seems like years since Tynan’s here
Here comes the rain, doo doo doo doo
Here comes the rain, and I say
Tynan’s here
Journey-ish god,
He’s now returning to these places
Journey-ish god,
It seems like years since Tynan’s here
Rain, rain, rain, here it comes
(Oh gosh that was terrible) I’m not the only person thinking of Red’s cover instead of the original, right?
i sang that in Red’s voice, so youre not the only one 😀
What song is this?

i bless the rains here in [wait what the heck is the world this takes place in called]

So I’m not the only one who thought whoever-that-is looked like the Journey character
That was unironically beautiful
WOW that’s ominous. on an unrelated note, first comment! yay!
wait nevermind, forget about the first comment part
She dead.
Correction: Her incarnation is dead. She, as the grassland itself will live on (unless Tynan razes the entire land).
*they dead. Red has only referred to grassland god with they/them
I kinda like this guy
Probably because of how pure-evily he is

existenstial dread? count me in!
It came from “Here comes the sun” – Beatles
Oh shoot, I was reading it like that song from Eurthmics. That makes a lot more sense.
Sorry, that was meant to be a reply to Architect of the Stars
Oh no, it’s definitely supposed to be the Eurythmics song. The mouseover text fits that tune WAY better than “Here Comes The Sun.”
TL;DR: cloud guy sets the plains on fire. Ouch. Sorry, green robes.
Oops, upon further inspection it seems the fire is just green robes disintegrating. Whoops.
Updated TL;DR: And now for some dramatic lightning and rain.
The lion, the witch and the audacity of this bitch
I can’t get into my ceramics school call so I’m reading Aurora instead. RIP Journey-looking avatar, hope your lands and inhabitants aren’t hurt by this stormy-boi.
NOOOOOOOO THEY DIED
It takes more than a sword strike to kill a god. They’ll be back.
So that’s why he’s f*cking around.
Can we talk about how cool Tynan’s design is for a second?
Ooh, Tynan is going to be a villain I’m gonna love to hate, I just know it!
Falst is listed as a Protagonist!!!!!!!!!
You know Tynan, judging from that lady’s face, she’s gonna be REALLY determined to come back and kick your ass
We already have two cataclysmic problems on our hands why not add a third, right Red?
i hope there’s a giant boss fight at the end; floof troupe vs the ultimate floof: who will win?
TL;DR: Floof MK Ultra gets unpooped by the scary thundercloud.

here comes the rain again, falling from the sky like a portent of doom~
does no one get that the song is Here Comes The Rain Again by the Eurythmics? damn

An asshole god with a storm motif? Zeus?!
