So Kendal can use starfire for mobility now? Interesting.
“He copied my whole flow word for word bar for bar!” – Tess, on Kendal being able to launch himself at high speeds with him elemental* powers.
*starfire not technically an element in Aurora’s magic system.
Aww, Kendal, he’s a good. He doesn’t want to slay the dragon trying to kill him, he just wants the dragon to not be doing that! He’s got important things to do and injured friends coming his way that need to breathe more than he does, he needs this fight to be ending, but he doesn’t want to drown the dragon!
This is why the Paladins must adopt combined-arms warfare where dragons are supplemented by infantry to deal with anti-dragon tactics, or in this case, to make Kendal’s attempted non-lethal approach to combat just a little bit harder. Of course blunt force trauma is a bit of a dice roll when it comes to non-lethality anyway.
Using starfire to flash dry your hair I see, Kendal. Oh don’t worry, I’m sure Vash did it himself at least once.
All things considered, Vros is pretty lucky. They matched against the squad member with probably the most restraint, said member is trying to incapacitate them without risking death plus to keep them safe from the eruption, and there are no other Paladins around to witness just how quickly they folded once Kendal got serious.
I think Stefan should rethink his “There is nothing more damaging to an army than a hero” phrase to take into account dragons.
Prediction for next week: Once again a dragon is getting punched, though I figure this one will be less flashy and booming and more subtle and surgical. Vros will take a nap beneath the waves while, fingers crossed, Kendal reunited with Falst and Tess.
For mobile readers.

welcome to Kendal’s Ass Kicking, how tough are you?
genuinely a top contender for one of the hardest lines Kendal has ever dropped
He’s so thoughtful 😀

I wonder what element starfire is considered as.
It seems it’s not fire, as said by Tahraim earlier in this arc, so which one is it?
Non of them. If anything, starfire would be its own element.
My theory is that it is a third dragon element.
He’s gonna do a Tess.
So… Vros is getting grounded.
Ahh, Kendal is so cool!!

Oh, snap! Talk about badass one-liner.
How considerate! Even Kendall gets a little monologue this chapter~~~
Kendal about to brute force that vulcan neck pince 🙂
That is…
FUCKING AWESOME!!!
(also I’m starting to save up for getting the book! Woo!!)
“hey wait, you’re not a licensed chiropractAAAAAAA”
That is going to be one sore snoot, if all goes according to plan.
