Bleach’s “Number One” is hype, but I’m not sure it’s the right vibe for Kendal.
Side note: “Thunder” by Imagine Dragons could be for Tess. 😀 Though maybe “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC would be better.
Oh, how about “better, faster, stronger” by Daft Punk? Vibes with the way his body was built to be exactly that.
Of course, FFXIV has a lot of blood pumping songs. Maybe “Endwalker – Footfalls”; the Warrior of Light is shown as a Paladin, and the song/expansion theme is hope and defiance facing off against a darkness that would destroy the world. Lyrics like “To forge ahead” with back up vocals of “you’re not alone” kind of fits Kendal.
Well, there’s my set of offerings, but there are lots of possibilities out there.
“Thunderstruck” suits Tess best in my opinion. For Kendal, many options would work, but right now I’m getting the first notes from “600 Strike” from Epic: the Musical (the electric guitar) because he’s in the water and locking in.
Falst gave him the warning after all! Good! And there’s Kendal’s starfire. At last. Now that he knows he has a time limit and needs to finish this quickly–and he probably wants try to keep Falst and Tess safe from the dragon, if he can. Never mind that Tess Stormbreaker has experience punching dragons… It’s interesting. He said Falst reminds him of Vash because the most painful thing for Falst is not being able to protect his friends, but that’s also a very Kendal thing. A more Kendal thing than anything, I think.
Vros: Finally! Boss music is playing! Good, I was getting tired of play-fighting, time for the real- Wait … this isn’t my boss music. And what’s that light up there?
Oh, how silly of me to think Vros was the one pulling their punches. Kendal was fighting so he could try and contact the Northern Wyrm sure, but with a non-serious opponent and wasn’t pressed for time, so he kept it basic.
Now that he knows Rakhn is going to blow, and his friends are walking into a dragon fight, the gloves are off. Kendal won’t need help.
Methinks Rakhn just pricked up his ears and has a little smile on his face. Not as cool as fighting Vash, but starfire, I’ll bet, he hasn’t seen before.
Kendal, I know you hate putting others at risk, but maybe just this once, we let the lady who basically has a doctorate in punching dragons get involved, okay?

I’ll guess that kendal will get swallowed and He’s gonna starfire his way out of the dragon, I know it’s kinda unlikely but I’d be cool.(I’m just now considering that it’s a bit too violent and gore, the northern wyrm chimera was a monster but this one’s intelligent enough to approach personhood, soo idk if he’ll be fine with killing it)
My personal bet is that once Vros is (literally) roasted into submission, Kendal will relay Falst’s warning to them so the Paladins can evacuate as well.
Kendal’s got a “no kill” policy and this dragon is enough of a person to fit on the list. That being said, this dragon is in for a world of hurt. (He probably wants the dragon conscious too so he can tell it to warn the Paladins and evacuate the island).

Kendal’s got a “no kill” policy and this dragon is enough of a person to fit on the list. That being said, this dragon is in for a world of hurt. (He probably wants the dragon conscious too so he can tell it to warn the Paladins and evacuate the island).
