“On the edge of the forest
That’s where the wild things grow
And blue skies of promise opened before us
There in her eyes are the dreams of the world
Blue skies of promise rained down upon us
Life is so sweet with a strawberry girl”
I don’t know if it’d be the most effective per se, but it’d be interesting to see what could be done with a combination of wind and life magic. Nature already uses wind to spread plant seeds, how much more effective would it be enhanced with magic?
It depends on how you’re going to use it. Earth and life would be great for defense(to build defenses) , Fire and lightning would be good for offense, Earth and/or air would work for faster transportation, healing is clearly Life magic as well as faster farming. Water can be used for irrigation, and all the basic water bending stuff in ATLA.
The worst would be for all the Floof Squad to die and story ends here. But I have faith Red just wants to make our heroes sweat. And I expert bucket loads of sweat and effort the entire team for our climax to this arc, As much as I would love to see Falst say (snarkily) “Priceless.” to Erin’s stunned look after his slick trick failed to stop Jeff from getting to surface (though there is still some hope for that scene to happen) I expect Erin will not be so cocky (especially with Voidy (V.D.) commenting with relish in his mind) I am expecting Tess to provide pithy comments when she shows up too. I would be money on Jeff being hard for both Erin and Alinua to deal with (I don’t think either of them have defenses for Jeff’s psychic attacks though Voidy might be immune). I expect Jeff will have little problems pushing Erin and Alinua around as well. I expect Falst will take cover and throw rocks while I don’t know what Dainix will do But I do NOT expect Dainix to rely on his spear to damage Jeff).
Worst case is the trauma blob attacks again and hits Alinua with the trauma attack, who then faints, putting her out of commission, and VD comes out with her gone, sending Danix and Falst crashing to the ground and putting them at the mercy of trauma blob suffocation. This, in the very very worst case would end with at least one dead character.
And also Kendal and Tess not getting there in time. Maybe a VD vs Tess fight (she’d lose, of course, this is a worst case after all).
If you mean a worst case scenario that could advance the plot, and not a death, then…
Another kajiu fight between Possessed!Erin and Jeff, possibly with several characters getting knocked out, and if Jeff loses, which he most likely would since, I mean, V.D. is kinda scary, then Walter’s going to try for his body again. Could happen, could not.
Falst is leaving the cave the same way he entered; dissing Erin.
Wow, it’s so dark in those caves there are streaks of light coming down from the night sky outside. Actually been a while since we’ve seen Dainix illuminated by natural light; you can really see the difference between it and the hazy darkness.
Celebrating your escape before you fully get out? Classic mistake. Those glort slime arms are in front of Dainix’s hair and maybe on the other side too; don’t you just hate the levels when enemies attack you on a moving platform?
Prediction for next week: The glort will try to latch onto Dainix and drag him back. Erin might even feel the change in weaight or balance of the stone and act on it.
The upper-right panel bothers me. The pooling of fabric around his knee as he lands on it (Ouch BTW) is probably realistic, but part of my brain is seeing that as his leg sinking into the earth or something.
I think it’s because you don’t see his leg going back, you can see the stone going behind his leg which makes it look like it’s sinking into the rock. There’s also no clothing folds to indicate his knee bending.
There once was a daring escape
Facilitated by a mage with a cape.
But the glort will make it harder
To escape from its larder:
They won’t leave without another scrape.
…and I literally just spotted the sludge reaching out of the last panel. (had my laptop brightness low.) So, uh. It already IS right behind them. Amending:
Oh yes. Yes, the worst is RIGHT behind you, buddy.
‘I do believe the worst is behind us’ yeah, behind DAINIX. In the face of inevitable horrors on Monday, I am choosing to amuse myself by imagining Falst’s head making an audible ‘thunk’ sound when Dainix drops him on the platform
For mobile readers.

Oh my god the surface!
the crustables
they have escaped the dungeon
yes
YES
the glort is coming out 😐
I love a reference to The Tiger by Nael, Age 6 in the morning
I feel like something is gonna go horribly wrong on the next page
Oh, come on! It’s not as if anything could follow them out of that hole in the ground, released to attack cities…throughout…the rest of the…continent…
Oh, $#%&!!!
i’m not sure if it’s just the perspective, but those two tendril look worryingly near dainix and his hair-
Welp. Bad things are gonna happen next page. Of course it wasn’t gonna be that easy
Also “he’s going to be so smug about this” love the snark Falst
Things seem to go suspiciously well
Is there yet more of this story to tell?
There’s a blob in Dainix’s back,
Getting ready for a sneak attack!
“On the edge of the forest

erm boy? Ferin? Strawbery blonde Falst 🙂
Uh Oh, I see that goop behind Dainix Red, don’t you do this to the labrador of the group
Aurora Question #91: Which combinAtion of magics work together the best in your opinion?
I think earth and lighting would be quite effective as you could use metal as anchor points for the lightning that you could move at will.
Ugh. Now I’m having Thunderblight Ganon flashbacks.
I don’t know if it’d be the most effective per se, but it’d be interesting to see what could be done with a combination of wind and life magic. Nature already uses wind to spread plant seeds, how much more effective would it be enhanced with magic?

The possibilities while not infinite are exponential?
Stay safe;
Lightning and fire.
the Goop is Reaching Its Hands Out
for a Hu g :3
Anonymous Aurora Questione #17: Since we know something bad Is coming, what is the worst case scenario?
Worst case is Dainix, Alinua, and Kendal end up trapped by the goop and voidy possesses Erin, but I don’t think that will happen.
Worst case scenario, Tess and Kendal get there in time to be of some use. I’m not sure they can survive the inevitable scolding from Alinua and Erin.
Worst case?
Uhm… don’t ask me for worst cases.
Worst case is the trauma blob attacks again and hits Alinua with the trauma attack, who then faints, putting her out of commission, and VD comes out with her gone, sending Danix and Falst crashing to the ground and putting them at the mercy of trauma blob suffocation. Everyone makes it to the surface and we never find out why the ancient tech thinks Flast belongs there.
Falst is leaving the cave the same way he entered; dissing Erin.

*Something* has to go bad next page. Kendall hasn’t saved anyone yet in this arc.
EXACTLY my thoughts! Something else is on the way!
“The worst is behind us” quite literally
The upper-right panel bothers me. The pooling of fabric around his knee as he lands on it (Ouch BTW) is probably realistic, but part of my brain is seeing that as his leg sinking into the earth or something.

*side eye’s red*
*softly* …don’t-
There’s gonna be a “no!” In the next page, I guarantee it
oh gee! i hope nothing bad happens to them!
A: I love the ‘hes going to be so smug about this’
B: This seems too hopeful, somethings gonna jump up and ruin this perfect escape
You really like your Friday cliffhangers, don’t you Red?
There once was a daring escape
Facilitated by a mage with a cape.
But the glort will make it harder
To escape from its larder:
They won’t leave without another scrape.
“I do believe the worst is behind us”
Oh it’s gonna be RIGHT behind you in a second, isn’t it.
…and I literally just spotted the sludge reaching out of the last panel. (had my laptop brightness low.) So, uh. It already IS right behind them. Amending:
Oh yes. Yes, the worst is RIGHT behind you, buddy.
erin really is gonna be so smug about this isnt he 💀
Yes he will Falst, Yes he will.
SNATCH that wig you amorphous QWEEN
I love that Falst’s first reaction isn’t “were saved!” but rather “he’s going to be so smug about this.” Ha.
Worse? Hell, he’ll chastise Falst about the dangers of amateur runic spell-casting. “You never cast stone magic on the ground you’re standing on!”
“I do believe the worst is behind us”
Yeah.
Right behind us. And accelerating.
Alt text: I do believe the worst is behind us
*Looks at the last panel*
…RED.
Oh no, something bad is going to happen!
Uh oh something’s gonna go horribly wrong next page I’m calling it. Glort is too close to Dainix and Falst.
Dainix’s spear makes a miraculous reappearance!
You know Falst is in bad shape when he isn’t even trying to sit up on his own. Still has enough energy to sass Erin, though.
I think Red is going to break her record of 38 pages in a chapter. Things are looking far too exciting to wrap up in just two more pages.
The worst is in fact behind you. *Right* behind you.
[ Look at the right hand part of the final panel… ]
An impeccable double entendre in the alt text
Why would you SAY THAT!!!?
AAAUGHHHHHHHH HELP NOO THE HAND
Ohhhhhhhhh boy. Now I’m going to bite my nails all weekend –
Dainix looks far too happy for something to not immediately happen.
*slowly turns & stares at the goop in the last panel*
‘I do believe the worst is behind us’ yeah, behind DAINIX. In the face of inevitable horrors on Monday, I am choosing to amuse myself by imagining Falst’s head making an audible ‘thunk’ sound when Dainix drops him on the platform
The worst is literally behind them
TL;DR: FRESH AIR!!!
Ok, is this fan service?
Suck it, Indigo
Also, like what does constitute a class A-1 hacker a ‘la Ghost in the shell?
