I realize he is supposed to be talking to the wolf, but as framed it looks like he might be talking to the sun. The sun is very good at keeping it’s distance in my experience….
He says he has not seen anything bigger than a wolf. If the light on the horizon is a creature (not the Sun or a bright star the Moon or some other bit of geography) then it is bigger than a wolf. So his statement that he has not seen anything bigger than a wolf makes no sense, if the light is a creature and not just part of the scenery and so it is probably the Sun.
Okay when I look at the Sun there is a lot of haze (or if I take a photo or video there is lens flare etc. around it) so it looks just like the thing Red drew. Apparently the rest of you only look at the Sun through eclipse glasses so you think it is a perfect sphere and does not bleed over the horizon etc. Certainly I do not recommend looking at the Sun without filters etc., but if you do I think Red’s drawing capture the impression it makes.
It’s a creature, his comment is that he hasn’t seen anything bigger then a wolf out here so he doesn’t know what the shiny light is, my money is on PML
Falst: Stay back, I’ve got rocks.
Not having to scare off many creatures because something else much worse has already scared them, now that is good tension building.
Hmm, is it Falst’s turn for some kind of identity crisis/infodump? At the rate we’re going they’re going to have to exposition as they walk if they hope to make it to Helm in good time.
It’s difficult for me to pin what that glow is, it seems too intense for the Crow’s Head deity, no storm clouds so it’s not Tynan, and I would have expected metal lady’s lightning aura to be more erratic. My money is on something new.
So, I don’t know when exactly it releases, and I’m curious, but I’ve noticed it wasn’t some time before and it is now, and it always puts 3am, so quick math time:
Timestamp this comment goes on minus 3 should be the time difference between posted and commented. If I substract this to my hour, I should know when it comes out and from now onward, I won’t be refreshing every couple hours to see when it posts again…
Perhaps somewhere else or at sometime red said when she posts them. But I don’t know, so I had to do math and a comment. Sorry for this, and I hope my mental shenanigans might have amused someone 🙂
It literally points out the upload time on the “About” page: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, 3am Pacific Standard Time (i.e. the west coast of Canada and the U.S.); adjust as necessary to fit whatever time zone you live in.
Since this is the internet, you will never know my real name.
Interesting, if you haven’t already posted a comment in the thread, it doesn’t let you reply to someone, but rather post a separate comment. Anyone else experience this?
This is a recurring issue that has been discussed. If you go directly to the most recent page and and the address is simply comicaurora.com, your replies will become comments. If the address is comicaurora.com/aurora/[page date], you can reply. The way to achieve this is to simply click the arrow and go onto the second most recent page, and then click back onto the most recent and reply.
It’s weird, we know, no one really knows how to fix it.
There’s actually a simpler solution, where you click on the comic page itself, the page does a refresh, and congrats, you’re now on the comic page instead of the homepage.
I’ve never seen it, but after seeing Razbuten talk a lot of praise about that show, and after seeing it shown (but not talked about) on Red’s loner trope talk, I’m kind of interested. I assume Wolf is the short, badass girl with the scorpion-stinger staff and the poofy hair?
pls tell me its Tess… please tell me it’s Tess…
Looks like a dessert. Ignans and Crucibel could be a chance
Who?
Dude in the sketches with one eye and cool looking fire magic (also cameos in multiple trope talks, wearing an eyepatch)
I realize he is supposed to be talking to the wolf, but as framed it looks like he might be talking to the sun. The sun is very good at keeping it’s distance in my experience….
I think he is talking to the shining light

That’s not the Sun…
That’s no moon!

cue the intro to ac/dc’s thunderstruck…
Say, that’s what I said on Wednesday!
WOHO! I’ve been refreshing this page every couple of minutes while i do my work. seems like I am exactly opposite red, it is 3: 10 pm over here.
Who monologues like that in a forest?
…someone who is used to being alone in forests for years, and tries to make conversation with himself to be less bored…?
meeee
Why am I being called out
Is this Thunder Lady? I hope it’s Thunder Lady.
dun dun DUUUUUUNNNNN

Should we start calling it a… inFLOOFdump?
…Quarantine messed my logic up a little
I am always welcome to more FLOOFYness.
So either bigger bad scared all the bad things away or another protag scared them off…
TL;DR: Catboy talks to the light, which is apparently scaring things off.
My guess is it’s another god, possibly Susan the Lightning Deity
I still think it’s Tess. She’s shown to have been shiny, and shiny things can get VERY bright when the light hits them the wrong way.
Anyone want to place bets on what the loud onomatopoeia in the next page is?
I’m thinking a new one with an f in it
CRACKADOOM
I’ve got a feeling it’ll be some kind of wind sound with an sh
In the first panel, I thought he was going to be like a cat chasing a laser pointer. Turns out no, but I still have that image in my head.

I’m just listening to Aurora by K-391 while binge reading this comic to the present!!!!!!
– Mine for a moment and then you’re gone and I’m still holding on … To a light in the sky, a dance in the sky, Aurora. –
Say, that’s what I said on Wednesday!

Thanks I’ve been wondering about this forever.
Is it me or does falst seem to act like Wolf from Kipo and the age of wonderbeasts?
Yo, I see what you mean-
I’ve never seen it, but after seeing Razbuten talk a lot of praise about that show, and after seeing it shown (but not talked about) on Red’s loner trope talk, I’m kind of interested. I assume Wolf is the short, badass girl with the scorpion-stinger staff and the poofy hair?
