Actually, some plants do have a sex. There are certain species that will produce flowers that have only male reproductive parts (stamen that make pollen) and flowers that have only female parts (pistol that receives pollen and contains ovaries, forms seed/fruit when pollinated) so a “female” tree isn’t that unrealistic from a purely biological standpoint.

I don’t know about Random Reader, but this was covered in my biology class.

I just suddenly realized the moons are red and blue.

Go back to the part where the Void Dragon was recounting its imprisonment to Erin. There’s a brief glimpse of the Primordial, Stone, approaching the Void Dragon for battle, and Stone is carrying a sword and a shield that are the same colors as the moons. The moons are not just called “Sword” and “Shield.” The moons literally were formed from Stone’s ancient weaponry. (Assuming Void Dragon was being honest, of course, but then why would he lie about what weapons Stone was holding, or the color they were? That’s an incredibly trivial detail to lie about.)
There was a guy last page who pointed that out, he’s probably reading this feeling smug and happy rn
For a moment there I though Gleicann wasn’t going to give Kendal the info, because of the “This is a matter of MY forest”

Red, as an astronomy nerd, I absolutely understand your need to put two consecutive pages with wide shots of the moonlit sky because moonlit skies are dope, especially when there’s more than one moon!
Fun fact, Subnautica also takes place on a planet with two moons, one red and one white. The red one orbits so closely that solar eclipses are frequent, and the white one is geostationary, always pointing due north)
Fun fact: I always thought Planet 4546B was the moon and the red one was the planet we were orbiting, but it turns out that we can get really sick views at night with the power of astronomy.

How did Gleicann not notice what is equivalent to an freaking Magic Nuclear Reactor in his forest
I wouldn’t equate the lacrima with that level of power; the pedestal that powered The Storm would be a better fit.
But yeah, the lacrima would still probably stand out in the forest, judging by the ease Gleicann had in locating it
To be fair life magic is just the magic of life, so he may not have noticed a concentration of life energy in the forest until it was mentioned that was a thing that could happen.
There is probably quite a bit of life magic in the forest and sometimes there are places where it is more concentrated.
So if Gleicann didn’t know the problems were tied to a lacrima he simply wouldn’t pay attention to one concentrated life magic zone in particular.

Gleicann’s doing a very bad job of being a forest spirit who lives on an incomprehensible scale, and should not be approached carelessly by mortals for he is a faeric force of nature that must be feared and respected.
He’s a forest spirit who seems like a great pal and I want to hang out with him and talk about cool bugs.

Ok theory time.
The twins are the creator gods that Walter managed to get to make himans and junk. And as far as we know thy haven’t been around/seen for a long time.
It is just a guess without a lot of evidence to support it, but could they be the moons? I think their colours add up and there is two of them which surround/support the earth.
They could have turned into the moons after they created “the perfect tool” fof VD to stay unaffected when he would break out of the earth and destroy it in the process or maybe he promised thst they wouldn’t get hurt if they stayed out of his way.
So yeah, could be right?
Also if anyone knows whst happeed to them/where they are and i just overread it please tell me, thx.
The “Extra Lore” section on the Twins explains that they’re still around, but don’t interact with sapients, or anything, except the species they’re currently developing. The make it hard for people to reach or interact with them.
It’s heavily implied by both the Extra Lore essays, and depictions in the comic, that the moons Sword and Shield are in fact what’s left of the Earth Primordial’s sword and shield, which it left behind when it fused with the other Primordials to imprison the Void Dragon.
