excuse me, sir, are you or are you not a shonen protagonist? what’s this about not fighting??

Oh I see. Kendal (Dollar, somehow ?) means EVERYONE.
…..how would anything in its right mind hear Kendal but interprets it as dollar?!
You see, voice-to-text (and vice versa) AI have no minds at all, so they could never be in a *right* mind
Dollar means family
Flast will be reasonable, Kendal… like slashing your again for keep meddeling again!
Ending the week with Kendal’s complexes about not harming ferins, an gorgeous giant Gleicann in the fifth panel and me still dubious they are going to find the lacrima right away…
Yeah, I didn’t realise just how massive he was until I saw that panel
Maybe Kendal’s just short. 🙂
Oh and about the last page, I wasn’t thinking about a tree-lady, I was/am thinking about The Lady of Trees ?
See? Gleicann knows it: Protagonists do better in herds
Protagonists are pack animals.
I like how intently Gleicann appears to be listening to Kendal.
Gleicann’s look of pity, combined with the red moon in the background (which is totally foreshadowing) are all the long Kendal this is NOT going to go the way he thinks.
Umm… Kendal, I’m pretty sure that the Lacrima is not in any way unique. A random doctor in a small backwoods village had it on hand, after all. If you steal it back, that only stops the ferin until he steals a new one for himself, then everything is back to what it is now.
But it is Doctor Jolon. He’s… special.
I mean, if the Ferin is truly dedicated to whatever he’s doing, he’s still going to be a problem.
Press d to doubt.
I love how Kendal clutches his shirt over his abdomen when he mentions The Collector here… such a nice little detail
Ah, so both Gleicann AND Kendal will lecture Falst about how “Animal weaponization and injuring people are very naughty things to do, young man!”
Gleicann is probably also going to say “also if you don’t stop I’ll hunt you down like a mouse.”, as appears in his description of how Alinua and Erin’s rage would be useful.
This from the guy who named himself after his weapon?
This idea is going to be smashed to pieces by next week, I just know it.
I, for one, am rooting for Kendal. Let’s-be-friends heroes are too adorable to refuse, and I like them even better than shonen protagonists.
“Godling”?
I guess it could be a form of; “I have no idea what you are. but you aint human, and you WERE a god recently. so imma call you godling; little god.”
Or maybe its like a friendly term.
I had thought that Kendall had decided since the Ferin was not intentionally responsible someone else was responsible (which is still what I think). Apparently though he concluded that because he did not think the Ferin is intentionally responsible he is accidentally responsible. I still don’t buy that the Ferin deliberately created the Chimera he was just finishing practicing drawing runes and he somehow has already been creating abominations that defy god and man for months? Also seems unlikely to be an accident for the same sort of reason. I guess we will find out when Kendall catches up with the Ferin.
Maybe the real enemies are the lacrimas we stole along the way
I wish this comment system had upvotes.
oh well. paragons will be paragons^^
Kendal continues to prove he’s a Pure and Adorable little puppy
Albeit one that can and will Fuck You Up
How dare you say you don’t want to fight it’s right here in your contract you have to fight everyone you have the opportunity to!
Oh. So i think he’s doing it to prove it to himself that he can save and protect people. He thinks he failed both his god and his city.
Aw buddy
Kendal, you can’t blame yourself for what happened to Vash, you didn’t even exist then.
I like the subversion of having Kendal, arguably one of the more rash and emotional of the gang, to be the most logical in this scenario. I guess confirming that the chimeras aren’t the Collector’s helped keep his head cool.
Since we’re going for the pacifist run here maybe have a chat with lion-boy too? Either to get his side of the story or warn him not to meddle with life energy again.
TL;DR: Corpse floof wants Peace TM, so he wants to grab the life battery from creepy thief dude and bolt. He could probably use it to increase the Sword S Pro’s battery life or something, I dunno.
To be blunt, the world needs more shonen protagonists who try to avoid fighting.
Preposterous!
As a shonen protagonist myself, I can only say that fighting is our raison d’être. Well, that and friendship, actually.
Just realized the Collector is technically Kendal’s mom
I’ve never thought about that, it’s hilarious, cause the mom ins- no, I’m not going to finish the train of thought
Thorfinn from Vinland Saga would be proud of his fellow blondie (though its seinen)
