Unless you’ve been going around telling people that death is cool and a good thing. Then it would be hypocrisy. But I don’t think you have, because you’ve been busy with the “self-inflicted hermitage to protect others because my very presence brings suffering and death” gig. Which… you should probably get checked out.
Also, how has nobody figured out how to harness the Chimera Plague yet? Sure, “uncontrollable infinite growth” sounds scary, but that didn’t stop us from inventing nuclear power.
I like when characters identify their problems and start to grow.
