A few things. travel, maybe learn to fly, but mostly mischief and tinkering. possibly abuse the mechanics of magic insofar as I would be familiar with them. See using life magic to “heal” a crater.
Honestly? Not much different from Erin lmao. My only benefit is that I don’t need to learn I’m full of myself, I already did that… to be fair Erin has by now as well but…
Boys? Safe. Heals? Applying. Glort? Occupied. Things are looking up; I wonder how Friday will ruin it.
I keep second guessing how much Erin may know about the monster; he doesn’t seem to recognise it by looks or the plant eating properties, but he might know about it from the trauma vision. He may be healing the boys not just because they desperately need it, but to get more information about the slime.
Alinua is faced against an unknown being eating away at her own power, but she’s not panicking; if anything she looks angry and determined. I’m particularly drawn to her line “It’s fighting me!”, just like how her power used to fight her for control. Could her anger be fuelled by memories of those hopeless and fearful years? If so, good for her for not despairing, but that does provide some good ammo for the Glort’s psychic damage attack.
Ahh, nice to see that Alinua is aware of “The Hexus Protocol” for dealing with toxic slime monsters. Are we sure Red didn’t include Ferngully in her worldbuilding?
One of my favourite parts of this story, is how unapologetically and ridiculously powerful Alinua is. Erin might be the most powerful regular mage in the world, but Alinua just performs these incredible feats with a wave of her hand.
i thought that she is a mage, but isn’t “Just” a mage. She is using magic, but has a much more profound connection to life primordial than most every other life mage.
Excellent teamwork Erin! He goes to help Alinua but sees two people unconscious so tells the Uber strong Healer/Life’s Vessel to lead away the threat so that he, as Healer back up, can treat their friends!
Ah yes! Someone else who is familiar with Betsy Lee’s work! Help me get Red to watch it somehow. I really want to know her thougths on the refrences to Aztec myth.
Yeah, kinda! I think Red has said that technically it’s the light of his magic reflecting in his eyes, which don’t have a very vibrant natural colour and therefore show the reflected colours rather clearly. Kinda like moonlight, now that I think about it. It’s honestly a REALLY cool effect.
Here’s a potentially significant note: Erin cast that earth spike WITHOUT touching his tattoo.
What I figure is it worked because it’s a relatively small effect, and he was already in the stonecasting zone. If it really isn’t just a force of habit or something. Still. Interesting.

love a confident girlie
shes so COOL ‼️‼️‼️‼️ im INSANE
It keeps releasing earlier than expected, I think this one came out at about 1:00 for me
And Jeff attacks, it eats the force
So Alinua’ll put it on another course
i like his pointy pew pew flamethrower move, very stylish
I love Erin’s reaction! “It’s coming! It’s trying to kill us!” “Fascinating! We must investigate this creature further!” XD
Please let them rest after this night for at least a full day and a full night
Aurora Question #96: What would you do if you were the Elemental Magus?
NOT go into the Storm
Any other questions? That one was easy.
Tax fraud
You villain you! (shock!)
Have swagg, get ladies, make money.
Have even more hubris than Erin
I would do magic just for the fun of it! Fireworks like Gandalf did in the Shire! Though I might got with the Egypt iconography…

Okay, it took me a bit, but I’ve got the rune sequences. They’re the same as what Erin used when checking on Kendal, i.e.
REVEAL DAMAGE
REVEAL SUBSTRATE
SHOW HEARTBEAT
SHOW BREATH
Only some of the shorter ones likely appear on the page because of spacing and size, but these should be what is there.
Finally some healing istg
No time for healing- Rampaging monster on the loose!
Boys? Safe. Heals? Applying. Glort? Occupied. Things are looking up; I wonder how Friday will ruin it.

Anonymous Aurora Question #22: How do you think the inside of the caves looks Like?
I imagine there’s a lot of rock.
LOL
(Snicker!) (like Ernie for Sesame)
Dark darker yet darker
The darkness keeps growing
The shadows cutting deeper
Photon readings negative
This next experiment
Seems very interesting
What do you two think
Probably the same as the last time we saw them, if you’re talking about the Singing caves. Check Chapter seven.
This is awesome!
Love the comic glad I finally got caught up again can’t wait to see how they avoid getting eaten by the “psychic torture slime”
Erin, picking up on the eldritch chimera vibes: how fascinating this seEEMS LIKE A LOVELY EXCUSE FOR-!
Also Erin, squirting himself on the nose with a spray bottle: NO, bad Erin, traumatized friends now, mad science later!!
There once was a thing called a glort
That tried its very best to thwart
The efforts of friends
To achieve its own ends
And of their magic made sport.
ah yes, my favorite coping method: grow a tree about it.
TL;DR: Priorities…
Erin’s first response is ‘Fascinating’. Such an Erin thing to say.
Ahh, nice to see that Alinua is aware of “The Hexus Protocol” for dealing with toxic slime monsters. Are we sure Red didn’t include Ferngully in her worldbuilding?
heyyyy slimeeee look at this big tree, don’t you want to devour it?
Finally caught up!
woop woop erin friend prioritization! Alinua fucking shit up!
“Fascinating. Let me try.” *Casts fucking Flamethrower*
My kinda guy.
Heck yeah, we love us some Erin character development!

That might have something to do with the fact that she isn’t a mage, she’s basically the avatar of Primordial Life.
i thought that she is a mage, but isn’t “Just” a mage. She is using magic, but has a much more profound connection to life primordial than most every other life mage.

P.S. no, I did not serve, friends & family;
It’s like the Black Ick from No Evil
Ah yes! Someone else who is familiar with Betsy Lee’s work! Help me get Red to watch it somehow. I really want to know her thougths on the refrences to Aztec myth.
That’s the way put Jeff it’s place! Let Primal Life show who can whammy! Way to look OP Alunia!
It has taken me far too long to realize that Erin’s eyes glow different colors based on the magic he’s casting. How did I not notice until now?
Yeah, kinda! I think Red has said that technically it’s the light of his magic reflecting in his eyes, which don’t have a very vibrant natural colour and therefore show the reflected colours rather clearly. Kinda like moonlight, now that I think about it. It’s honestly a REALLY cool effect.

He touched it on the previous page.
Ah well that makes sense
panel 7 may be the coolest so far, holy shit.
Alinua’s in full goddess mode. hopefully jeff doesnt have any more tricks up its sleeve.
Awwww, Erin voluntarily put research to the side to heal his friends! So much character development <33
