Oh, there it is. Alinua’s ears were always articulated. When she looks at him with surprise and astonishment, they go down as her eyebrows go up. They’re usually high enough to give her hood the kitty-cat look. I never noticed that on the first read, not until last few pages of Arc 1.
I think they have started hanging lower in general as the art evolves, but they have always moved. Or maybe it’s a poetic representation of how she’s not always so on edge anymore.
