It seems the Junior Archivist wants to talk to Erin about something. Maybe it’s about him leaving abruptly or it could be that she knows something about his condition. Happy New Years!
I had been wondering why she was in the important characters section despite showing up in as many scenes as windcrests mayor, hopefully the following scenes will explain why
Very interesting. So she’s reading the book Erin was reading… and something dawns on her. What? Something Erin should know that only a Paladin would understand from those books? So she goes to the embassy? Something about Erin, so she goes to discuss it with an official? My vote is on the former, but this tease… teases.
I am looking forward to those creative swears. Anyway, I wonder if the Junior Archivist will be even more relevant to the current plot, seeing as how she’s included in the character tab I think?
I assume Lady Niluca is the head archivist. I almost wish she yelled at Erin while he was unleashing his Pompous Nitwit-ness in the lobby, if only to hear those creative swears. Also, I like her glasses with all the funky magnifying lenses over the left eye.
Yep, that’s one of the same guards as earlier. She’s going to the embassy.
I like how Red’s taking some time to wrap up all the trajectories of this arc’s side characters. Tying up loose ends is satisfying. Also, it seems like the archive subplot isn’t as finished as I boldly proclaimed on the last page… oops.
With all of that said: happy new year, everyone. (Unless, of course, you use a different calendar, in which case disregard us Gregorian plebians.)
@Cephalogod: XD
Oooooh more Junior Archivist! *excited* and I already love the head librarian.
also I really like the expression in the third panel for some reason.
Happy New year to everyone! See you guys next year! (I have so many new year jokes it’s not even funny)
I wasn’t expecting to see June again. I wonder if she finally started thinking about Erin’s grumbling while he was reading that book in the archives and decided something was fishy. I actually have no idea what she’s thinking or what she wants to see Erin for, but it’ll probably be something interesting. Too bad I have to wait until next year to see it…
Like I said. The jokes never stop.
I will be celebrating the 664th day of March 2020 today (they day lockdown was set in place first for my area and many others) and be hoping the whole time that this plot arc of our lives will end sometime soon! Happy new year!
TL;DR: Wonder where the archivist is going? In other news, the other person at the archives is a hero. My parents could learn a lot from them! Don’t swear like sailors in the presence of a little kid!
Honestly, I really like her, so I’m glad she’s back. And as hilariously awkward as it would be for her to walk in on Tynan exposition, I’m honestly kind of hoping she’ll walk in on “Oh, by the way Tess, when I explored The Storm I accidentally woke up *spots the paladin* CURIOUS. YES. THAT’S WHAT I WAS GOING TO SAY.”
I’m sorry, but I can’t look at Lady Niluca’s eyepiece without being reminded of that scene from Spy Kids 2.
Not the scene change I was expecting but I’m all for it. Both for wrapping this subplot up and to see more of the Junior Archivist, who’s name I’m kinda hoping gets revealed next week. Her scenes are just so interesting, aesthetically pleasing and at times funny.
Nice to see the J.A. is thinking about Erin and how he had to leave his research; their relationship has improved over their initial hostilities. It’ll be nice for them, and this subplot, to part ways on a high note … Until/Unless she gets the memo that he’s been carrying V.D. around. She may not take that well.
This could also be good for the survival of the Archives if she’s seeing the gang. They now likely know of Tynan and the threat he poses to the city, Archive included. After she has her talk with Erin (whatever that talk entails, I’m really not sure) they can tell her about Tynan and she can then warn the Archive. Methinks some of those books will need to be secured tightly if they’re to survive a storm … oh, and maybe evacuate the non-essential personnel to safety.
That’ll also serve as my prediction for next week. That and maybe a cute/funny scene between J.A. and Tess.
I wish I could say happy new year like everyone else and mean it, but the world lost an icon today. Sorry to be the bearer of sad news, but the wonderful Betty White of Golden Girls fame, passed on today at 99 years old. She would have been 100 in 18 days. T.T
it just occurred to me that it would be super-cool if the junior archivist is going to see Erin to give him cliff notes on the original sources since he can’t look at them himself now…
I think the Junior Archivist remembered something about the V.D. and Light Dragon, that’s not in the Archive be. And I predict it will be potentially verrrrrry interesting — interesting enough that Erin will want to get that info next. Uh. After this “minor tangle” with Tynan. That shouldn’t be too much of a bother… a storm god that nearly beat Vash… Kendal separated from the sword that could defeat Tynan… no trouble at all.
Ideal: “Anything you read here was copied exactly as it was originally written.”
Reality: “Well here it says he succeeded his father as king at the age of eighteen, but here it says he was eight years old when he became king, so clearly someone fucked up somewhere.”
Granted, such methods are almost completely reliable, with most errors occurring in minor spelling differences and minute mistakes. I still found this page amusing though.
@Averias The two examples are not mutually exclusive. They copied it exactly as it was originally written. It’s not the transcribers’ fault it was originally borked.
Omg she has four monocles on top of each otherand likes coming up with swear words in her free time. it’s all my wildest dreams and life goals smashed into one
YES! More June! Also, has anyone seen Hiii lately? They didn’t comment last page. Well, neither did eye but still.
Panel Five: Joe Pesci coming up with fake swear words for Home Alone

(Bonus)
Ring in the new year!
2021 is done!
Happy New Year’s Eve!
Happy New year everyone!!
It seems the Junior Archivist wants to talk to Erin about something. Maybe it’s about him leaving abruptly or it could be that she knows something about his condition. Happy New Years!
Yes! The Junior Archavist! I was afraid we’d never see her again! I wonder what she wants to say to Erin.
Thank you HelloHaiku!
So I finally get to see the library manager. Thanka! A year is a long time to wait until the shoe drops but its almost here!
Happy new year!
May 2022 be better than the last few.

Must be some spicy swears. Like nutmeg or ginger.
also happy new year!
Now that magnifying glass on her glasses is just over the top
Well! Here’s to another year of Aurora. Happy ninety-third of Spooktober, everyone.
I am looking forward to those creative swears. Anyway, I wonder if the Junior Archivist will be even more relevant to the current plot, seeing as how she’s included in the character tab I think?
Also, Happy New Year!!
Yes! My favourite character is back.
Also, happy new year, everyone.
I love this story. Happy new year!
Ah look at that my first comment didn’t load. So I’ll just repeat it here.
The obligatory “yay more June” being taken care of, has anyone seen Hii lately? They didn’t comment last page, well neither did I but still.
I accidentally put eye instead of I
Ooh, I wasn’t expecting this. CURIOSITY.
I meant to type bookfae, not bookcase ?
This page’s image source is: hm
I like lady Niluca already

on another note-
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year
The Archivist is my favorite. I’m glad we get to see her again.

No one expects the paladin archivist!

I like the head archivist…
“Stone’s stones and Water’s piss,
Void Dragon I summon thee to say,
‘eat the idiot who screwed up copying this’.”

That embassy guard’s had an interesting night.

To ImuyanMangoCat:
Haven’t seen Hiii lately either, now that you mention, but it’s possible they’re really busy, or possibly changed their alias an forgot to mention it.

red update the character page! i’m waiting to see Tess’s square say “worried about the storm” instead of “looking for Erin”
June is a cutie <3
