I suppose that despite their ability to adapt rapidly to any element or environment, the one trait that all Dragons share, Primordial or not, is that they are absolutely insufferable.
Top 5 reasons given by dragons for invading and destroying kingdoms
1. My parents are insufferable
2. My Neighbours are insufferable
3. I’m tired of being called insufferable by all the other dragons
4. Dragon housing crisis (limited supply of liveable natural caves claimed by Dragon landlord class who caused the millennia long war with dwarves to stop them making more caves and thus driving down the value of their assets)
5. Shinies!
Dragons rarely experience the bitter taste of defeat it’s only natural that overconfidence comes easily to them. It is a weakness, use it against them.
Loquor : Our glacial drakes have sighted the Elemental Magus, my Lord. But he has entered an underwater crevice and we cannot risk– Stefan: Crevices do not concern me, Loquor. I want that Magus, not excuses.
And there we have it, Calian going full cat-dragon and seeing the mortals before them as mice. L.D.’s parting gift allows for communication, but does not guarantee obedience and harmony; I bet there’s a ton of gifted dragons who choose not to join the Paladins. Stefan must be acutely aware of this, both tactically and logistically; being entirely reliant on these creatures to get them on and off Rakhn is a potential weak link.
Makes me think that if/when the Stormdrake that Tess fought comes back into the spotlight, there’s a pretty good chance they’ll ignore Erin and any mission they’re on to pursue Tess.
Looks like while advanced spells are a burden for him, Erin can still move water from A to B just fine, at least for now. Dainix must be getting disorientated though, which could hamper his ability to help at best, and become a danger to Erin at worst. I’m not even sure if that mouse hole of a gorge is thin or deep enough to give adequate protection from Calian.
Alright, we know which is which now! Vros: the spiky-headed one with the pointier nose fighting Kendal. Calian: the one with the more rounded horns and snout. Vros gave me the impression of an overgrown cat, and Calian gives me the impression of an overgrown, hyperactive dog.
Oh dear. Erin seems to have found himself and Dainix refuge in the underwater fissures. That crevice looks like it could be too narrow for Calian to follow, or at least like it will slow the dang dragon down. But even if they have a refuge, Erin can’t hold that bubble forever. If they’re able to go still for a moment, is Dainix going to try to do something? Will he be able to un-discombobulate himself and get his powers to cooperate?
You like Taylor Swift as well? Such eclectic interests!
I shared your comment with my roommate at breakfast this morning and added he would fit in with Dragon. He thanked me for the compliment. I feel like a straight man in a comedy skit. Pity my anxiety got the better me this morning. (Shake head ruefully)
I love all the different things people are associating this with. Personally, I saw panel 3 and immediately saw a dog chasing a tennis ball bouncing itself around the yard.
The “good guys” everyone.

You made me laugh @veggiesnake, you witty commentator you! My Monday blahs have all gone away! Thank you!
This sounds like a great opening line to a book. Maybe some kind of satire about dragon rider stories.
Sounds like a line Douglas Adams would’ve written. xD

TIE Fighter noises make much more sense than pinball noises
Also TIEs sound like screaming

I suppose we now know which dragon is which. Both of them are having a blast at the Floof Squad’s expense.
All is most certainly not going according to plan.
It could be worse (I swear, if this is accidental foreshadowing)
Water kitty has seen the bit of string. Oh noooo!
Wait, Erin! That’s not the shipwreck direction!
That is the Alinua direction, though! (hopefully)
AW MAN why’d the bubble bros have to get the hyperactive one!!! ALINUA HEEELP
dragon, awww man
So we back in the sea, got our bubble swimming from side to side, side-side to side
This task a grueling one, hope to find our shipwreck tonight night night, shipwreck tonight
Heads up, hear a sound, turn around, and look up
Don’t tell me they get stuck in the trench o.o
Voidy’s probably going to come out soon, Erin was already in terrible shape before the dragon popped out, he must be on the verge of collapse
Thallasophobia activated
dangit red now I’m READING it in pinball noises >:(
Okay, so this is Calian, good to know. My brain has been playing pool noises

Ooh. That’s an interesting thought about the Stormdrake and Tess. It would be neat to see those two interact.

From one who’s had many, trust me, those can both be cat personalities.
But yeah, I am definitely getting big “BALL!!!!!!” energy from this one XD
He was a bubble boy;
He said “I’m in trouble, boy!”
Poor Dainix is gonna throw up.

hey so like. what if that fissure has some wyrms in it, specifically the godly northern kind
“There’s always a bigger fish.” – Qui-Gon Jinn
So, cat and mouse from the perspective of the mouse is…rather terrifying.
Red says Pinball, but I’ve got Running In The 90s in my head reading this :p How will our heroes escape this one?
it really is like cats and laser pointers isn’t it
So adoring how murder-happy the dragons are.
This is what the lazer dot feels like as opposed to a teaser toy which is what Kendal feels like. Also Calain has orange cat energy.
Mario and Sonic at the 2012 Olympic Games, that one Dream Event with the hamster balls. That’s what this is making me think of.
I love all the different things people are associating this with. Personally, I saw panel 3 and immediately saw a dog chasing a tennis ball bouncing itself around the yard.
And panel 2 with the tongue hanging out? He’s just a big golden retriever!
True to my name, I have a question. Who would Lace (Silksong) have the most intersting dynamic/conversation with?
