I didn’t even read the full page but when I saw the second panel I immediately screamed WHAT ARE YOU DOING BRO and everyone else in my house is still sleeping… rip. BUT SERIOUSLY WHAT IS HE DOING you don’t just yeet your newfound bestie and then immediately try to break through a stone wall while seriously injured!

I do not see Dainix being yeeted (?) in these panels (politely posted for the sake of other readers of this forum)

Forgiven! from someone who has made at least TWO mistakes on this commentary page and has empathy about the feeling embarrassment of doing so!
Falst holds up quite well compared to the rest of the party for sheer strength, I feel. The thought makes me want an arm wrestling hierarchy of the floof squad.
Assuming no cheating/inventive magic, and going off only my own impressions:
1.Tess.
2. Kendal.
3. Falst.
4. Dainix.
5/6. Alinua and Erin tied for last. Neither does much near the limits of their comparatively tiny muscle strength, so who knows which is stronger.
If active magical enhancement of the arm is allowed is allowed then Erin jumps to between Falst and Kendal because he’d have a metal gauntlet or something and use magic to push that. I don’t think Alinua would think to use an exo-suit of vines without someone suggesting it though, so I’ll leave her at the bottom of the rankings unless Life interferes directly. Dainix’s ranking doesn’t change since fire can’t really grip the opponent’s hand so the scorched remnants of their hand would reach the table in a pyrrhic victory (unless I’m misremembering how his warform works).

Ooo! The visual storytelling in those last few panels, combined with Falst’s earlier declaration that he sees his purpose in the party as being the tank as the guy who has the healing factor to let him take the hits, is utterly SUPERB! Just the shot focusing on Dainax’s wound combined with Falst immediately getting pissed and taking it upon himself to break the door himself, just a fantastic display of just how tortured Falst’s mental state is at the moment.
An injured right arm and a broken left hand. Next thing you know someone’ll step on his tail.
Well, that’s one way to knock someone out of a potential paralysis crisis. It doesn’t get rid of the angst, Dainix will need some comforting that he had no choice later, but they don’t have time to deal with it right now.
Faslt, it’s one thing to own up about making a problem worse by staying to fight. It’s another to think that means you are somehow responsible to solve it no matter how painful. Well, looking on the bright side, this self-destructive need to defend Dainix means he must be warming up to the Ignan.
Prediction for next week: Falst breaks his hand but succeeds in collapsing the entrance. Then the two continue their path to the way out. Maybe even have a scene change as they begin walking.

If Dainix just burned a bunch of those alive, why is he concerned about stabbing one?
I want to type ‘Because existence works in strange ways on our psyches’ but I am not sure that’s the point.
Well, one thing to note is in this page a lot of them see annoyingly intact. That said, Dainix is used to an environment where just about everything is fireproof, he might not register that fire will hurt them instead of acting as a distraction.

It occurs to me that we haven’t seen much beyond the entrance of the convenient hidey-hole. Who wants to place bets that these two just locked themselves in with something nasty?
Ooh I hadn’t thought about that but thats a really good point. Its true that the ”exit” kinda just looks like a hole in the cave wall.
There will come a chapter in which Falst and Dainix go back to moving themselves instead of moving each other around the room with special Throw actions…but this is not that chapter.

Falst has a MEAN Left hook. That’s comprable to the dmage kendal did with the first few blows in the rockface chasing the colllector. Granted kendal was bleeding out and had more in the tank for may more strikes.
