Dontcha hate it when your monologuing at an evil cloud gets interrupted by chain-wielding bounty hunters? Happens to me all the time!
Gold girl yells at cloud. … Hold on, Red made a similar joke a while back.
Slightly less concerned for Tess’s safety after seeing that guy’s aim; if Shrike is the only hunter of concern that simplifies things greatly.
That’s actually a good question, what is Tynan waiting for? I’m going with the ‘dramatically announce himself at the arena’ theory; since he isn’t building any dread slowly in Zuurith he may decide a sudden entrance for a chance to induce mass panic is his best option. If Zuurith is keeping knowledge of Tynan suppressed it can only delay his arrival and intensity, not stop it.
So, both Babe Fett and Big Z are chain people, a fitting weapon for the context of the city. We all assumed the chains on the chapter cover art were Zuurith’s but I think they represent Shrike’s weapon and her missions; she’s trying to capture Tess and Falst and was, I’m assuming, the one who caught Dainix.
Next week prediction: Tess trips and falls in front of Alinua and Falst, possibly dragging them into the fight or maybe even letting slip they were the ones she met at the prison last night. Which Shrike overhears and declares open season. I’m fairly confident Tess can escape, Shrike doesn’t know just how badass Tess is, but I have an unpleasant though that Falst may choose some self sacrifice to keep Ali safe.

– Tynan about to burst (pausing possibly due to sensing Vash’s vessel?).
– Tess vs Bounty Hunters (ongoing)
– Potential floof tournament arc.
– Erin uncovering the secrets of black and white dragons.
– Kendal rescue arc from Alinua and Falst
So many threads within a single city. Reminds me of Dressrosa. Cant wait to see how they all unfold.

I really want a floofy tournament arc!! Not usually my thing but Dainix just seems so cool I want to know more about him!! This whole arc has been full of super interesting plot threads, it’s gonna be so satisfying seeing them all come together.

Actually, that might not be a bad thing; if Zuurith starts flooding under Tynan’s fury, the prisoners might be left behind in the peak as the guards escape. But if Tess warns the other prisoners of the danger before the storm breaks, she can potentially incite a mass riot/escape when the prisoners are put in danger.

Oooh, that’s the chains on the cover art for the chapter! I thought it was Zuurith at first, but I couldn’t explain why it wasn’t purple. Turns out it’s Shrike’s! Neat.

What is that cloud up to? Is that Hunter a Trooper in a Storm? Will Tess get away? Is Shrike’s chain a conductor? Is Tess going to trip and fall into the merchant’s stall that Falst is trying to buy Temptations cat treats from?

These characters haven’t even been on the same panel and their interaction has been one attacking the other but I ship it.
First of all, How the hell is tess talking to? Second of all, magic chain? I knew I felt a boss fight energy from Shrike.
@Steve, Lord of Darkness: wait you have a point actually, IS Shrike’s chain a conductor? I have a feeling it is, since Shrike appears to be some kind of earth/stone mage, its probably metal she’s controlling. Now I’m hoping for a scene where it wraps around her arm, but Tess just yanks Shrike off balance with it before distance-electrocuting her through the chain and running away.
In the meantime: TESS, RUN. Whatever Shrike meant by “moving is good”, it cant possibly be good for Tess and I really hope she doesnt get caught.

Red recently said that living primordials would have been able to fuse so what if the white dragon is the fusion of all six primordials?
(though then why would old gabrial mcflashy-wings be talking to, presumably, the white dragon if primordial life was using Ali as a vessel?)
I can’t wait for Tess to join the main squad:) she might explain how she got them scars and they’d have someone to remind them of the plot :))) (not that I mind, I kind of prefer character moments haha)

Honestly, I kind of hope not; this story is already really good without romantic subplots, so I feel like they’re not needed. Leave those subplots to fan fiction and headcanons.
