while i know alinua probably just found some dirt along the way, i also like to imagine she just has some dirt that she carries around on her that she can use whenever the need arises – like pocket sand, but with dirt. pocket dirt.
Falst : hm, i wonder if there’s some greenery heading my way…… nah, probably not
honestly though, honestly a bit anxious that the two will be spotted arguing (because i just know they will have an argument) by some guards and they will get locked up, but maybe that’ll be the catalyst that makes kendal want to break out?
Falst: Why do I feel a bit of déjà vu coming?
Those first two panels, while simple, do frame how comfortable the city is compared to the mountain prison; the city is literally glowing with light and warmth while the lights from the mountains barely illuminate the windows.
That prisoner closest to the foreground in panel 4 has a fire magic tattoo and an inscribed band on his wrist; from the Aurora tumblr I reckon that’s a sealing cuff to block their magic. Also says something about Dainix’s situation as I haven’t seen anything like that on his person and he is most likely a fire mage.
Falst’s reasoning about security is good but I wonder if he’s taken into account just how massive the prison is; it may be simply too big for one person to search, without being detected, in a single night. And I don’t think Alinua is here to help.
My prediction for next week: Ali and Falst continue their argument and are interrupted, either by guards wanting to arrest them or PML who wants to talk storms.
Well, glad to know I was wrong about each window being a cell, just a massive courtyard like place in the mountain. I do wonder what rules they broke, where they also reading in hotel rooms a little too aggressively for Zuurith’s tastes?
Oh yeah, I almost forgot this chapter wasn’t called “Kendal bonds with the champion and then they get things sorted in the morning.” A LOT of things are going down tonight, aren’t they? Wonderful stuff, Red.
OK but like every time it’s drawn to our attention that this is a *mountain* prison, which means by default most prisoners are kept several stories aboveground, all I can think of is this news story: https://abc7.com/prison-escape-jail-manhunt-12th-floor/6344998/
Noooooooo it’s the end already D:
I mean, the end of the so far available content, that is.
D a m n, I got a lot more invested than I would have thought. Great job Red! I’ll be eager to red the new pages as you publish them!
mx. antlers there seems lightly disapointed with their food. I hope that Zuurith doesn’t have crappy food in his prison. logistic wise (plus considering Zuuriths’ great distaste for rulebreakers) it would make sense, but I still hope the best for sic tat dude & gang.
i was listening to the undertale soundtrack as i was reading and precicly the second i read the last panel Battle against a true hero started and the beginning sounds very fitting for that moment.
Peeking through window
So there was dirt after all!
Someone’s in trouble~
“found the dirt!”
Alinua’s ~~dirty~~ then?
*Ba dum tss*
Fault face at the end is one of “Mom is home and I forgot to defrost the chicken”

First Kendal, now alinua, the gang just keeps breaking the prison.
Man I love this series.
Alinua and Falst are fighting later
Ooooh

TL;DR: Looks like you found the wrong room- and an angry elf found you.
Some squad members are more inconspicuous than others, I guess :))
@evil tree nice reasoning, I agree
Next time, on Floof Squad: “You KICK Falst? You kick his body like the fooball? Oh! Oh! Jail for Alinua! Jail for Alinua for One Thousand Years!!!”
Oh yeah, I almost forgot this chapter wasn’t called “Kendal bonds with the champion and then they get things sorted in the morning.” A LOT of things are going down tonight, aren’t they? Wonderful stuff, Red.
Alinua: “YOU DONE FUCKED UP NOW!“
Also, in panel 4, it looks like Hans Gruber is here for some reason.
Casual reminder that Erin is a life mage. And a wind mage. And an everything-mage. He could probably catch up to Falst faster than Alinua could.
Help I caught up to the series in a week and now I want more
To Wizard4Hire:
I think there are cells, and that is the cafeteria, since they’re all holding plates with food.
idk i might be wrong

I’ve got a jar of dir-rt, I’ve got a jar of dir-rt!

Somebody’s in trouuuuuuuble.
To HelloHaiku: is this a pagely thing now? Because if so, I LOVE IT.
To Aodh:
Yup, that is my plan!
I’d like to make this a thing.
I’m glad you like it!
I think that’s the same deer ferin as we saw when PML fell off the roof chasing Erin. I wonder if that’s important.
“I’m about to do what’s called a pro gamer move.”
~Both Falst and Alinua, at the same time
just realized red’s portrayal of Victor Frankenstein looks a lot like Erin
To Brendon:
Yeah, it does look like it. It makes me wonder what they did since we saw them, if it is the same person.

I see some stuff about Alinua and dirt, and I assume it’s something with the title text. One question: what is the title text?
PersonMcperson- found the dirt!
Pezler the Polychromatic-
Wait, I’m in trouble? What did I do?
i’ve been binging this series for a few days and now that im all caught up i just wanna say: i love it so much
Somebody:
I can’t tell if you’re joking or not, but if you aren’t: “somebody” in Pezler’s comment is Falst, considering he’s in trouble with Alinua.
Falst is the coolest cat in town
Ahh I thought the alt next would be, “In this moment, Falst new, he fucked up”
TheUnknownGame:
‘Twas a joke.
To TheUnknownGame:
To be honest, my first thought was Tony Stark. Then my brain decided that it could also be Stephen Strange, so make of that what you will.
(Also, you think Red’s aware of the Tropes page yet?)
Alt text: found the dirt!
