Probably. Vash is the only god we know of who’s disappeared recently, and of course this god mentioning Vash would help tie this thread to the rest of the plot. So yes, it’s probably Vash.
Happy new year Red. You got us a scary God attacking a journey grassland God. We got you comments. Also here is my question; if Tahraim has created weapons to defeat Tynan can he do it again?
Or… Through a mutual enmity with the Collector if she comes to reap Tynan’s soul the same way she did Vash’s? She IS the only known character shown to have any offensive capability against a god, other than Vash himself.
I love this implication that Vash is the only other god he respects. I’m hyped for an “only Vash is worthy to defeat me” arc, possibly culminating in a villainous breakdown if Alinua and the boys are able to take him down.
Or, this could be where the Collector makes her re-entry into the plot? She does have some experience in this department.
Either way, I’m pumped to see where this plotline goes. Let 2021 commence!
Yeah, if she’s as much of a life magic focused deity as she appears, things like apparently mortal injuries are unlikely to really mean much long term. It’s like cutting Deadpool’s head off, impolite but mostly an inconvenience. For all his bluster, can Tynan carve her up faster than she can heal? Can he do so while his own life force is being siphoned out of him and speed-grown vegetation is ripping his limbs off? Guess we’ll see.
It doesn’t seem like gods are really connected to primal magic. Their powers seem to be their own separate energies, the same way Gleicann seemed to be an unrelated entity to Life Mum, and his powers were an unsaturated green colour, rather than the vibrant green of Life Mages. Therefore, this deity may be incapable of healing magic, even if they can control plants and other features of their domain. Either way, Tynan is only damaging their vessel, so the deity will live on in the actual grassland they embody. Unless Tynan burns the plains, I doubt he can truly kill them.
Problem is she tried to do the fast-growing thing but she barely started on his boot before he bolted, blowing her shoulder clean off…And uhh. Thing to remember with Gods is they are the natural phenomenom they’re connected to as much as they are the people that form.
I don’t see a Grassland being able to do much to a Storm.
I like how Tynan’s floof-clouds sort of extend upwards, possibly connecting to his storm. It sort of gives his vessel the appearance of just being a limb for the storm to puppet or something like that. Also, happy new year everyone!
Okay, so I finished my first playthrough of Pyre today, and since it has very quickly become one of my favorite stories of all time and I have it on the brain, I read your comment in the voice of… well, The Voice.
Happy new year!!! And yes good riddance to 2020. It finally over though 2021 didn’t start out so well for but maybe it will get better or maybe with this rotten luck for the rest of the year.
(If everyone’s okay with it I’d like to pick up the TL;DRs because they’ve been absent for a while and I don’t really know how else to get involved in a conversation online haha)
Well somebody didn’t hear about Always Bigger Fish trope.
Other gods < Tynan< Vash <unknown force
Hint: If somebody beats your ass so much that you do not mess with their land for centuries afterwards then somebody beats their ass, your reaction really shouldn't be "It's free real estate!" unless you want to end up dead.
Vash may be gone but according to the lore pages, Vash gained much of his power from that metal and crystal that the smith-god gave him, the same metal now in Kendal’s bones and which makes up Kendal the sword, and the same gem which seems to be in the sword.
Sorry to comment this really late (I didn’t have access to computer) but, I posted this drawing of the floofy squad that I drew for new year so if you want to check (and follow if have twitter) can, if you don’t that’s fine.
This is going to go well
Well giggity-Gods damn!
This can only end on the upside!
Happy 2021 folks!
It’s over. 2020 is finally over. The year of hell is over. IT’S OVER. We’re free!
He’s talking about Vash, isn’t he?
Probably. Vash is the only god we know of who’s disappeared recently, and of course this god mentioning Vash would help tie this thread to the rest of the plot. So yes, it’s probably Vash.
According to the lore pages, Vash kicked Tynan’s ass way back.
This guy was in Vash’s backstory.
Wow, this guy’s a bastard. I love ‘im already.
Tynan is 100% bastard
Well shit
Happy new year Red. You got us a scary God attacking a journey grassland God. We got you comments. Also here is my question; if Tahraim has created weapons to defeat Tynan can he do it again?
Kendal’s new mission objective: Kick Tynan’s ass
and possibly turn him good
Join theb floof squad
with a hug

Ah yes, I believe “soul mates but, like, for murder” is a favorite trope of red’s.
and the power of friendship. and floof. the power of floof
Tynan’s replaced Dr. Jolon in the Antagonists Section.
And Glecian has completely disappeared, too
Aw, I liked him.
I miss him already.
Plit.
It wasn’t a fair fight Tynan has all the floof in the world and grass god has none
Also, HAPYPAHAY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!

Prick.
I second this.
*Bangs gavel* The motion has passed. The senate officially names Tynan the title of Prick.

Don’t know who/what that is but I’m deciding to take that as a compliment because the name sounds cool and rad
Well this guy is just full of 2020 style surprises.
Happy New Years everyone, and good riddance to 2020
Happy new year!!! And yes good riddance to 2020. It finally over though 2021 didn’t start out so well for but maybe it will get better or maybe with this rotten luck for the rest of the year.
It’s 2020 as a person, we thought we could escape it but NOPE. Vash you better be able to fight this weather man wannaby!
TL;DR: green cloak gets slashed by cloud guy, is mad at him for disregarding an agreement.
(If everyone’s okay with it I’d like to pick up the TL;DRs because they’ve been absent for a while and I don’t really know how else to get involved in a conversation online haha)
yay! thanks for picking up the position.
I’d like everyone to take a moment to appreciate the little ‘Plip’ ‘Plup’ onomatopoeia for the raindrops.
Ah yes, it’s going to be a good year.
Red is excellent at determining the best places/terms for onomatopoeia. It always adds to the ambiance without being distracting.
As I said a bit earlier…
Plit. 😛
Well somebody didn’t hear about Always Bigger Fish trope.
Other gods < Tynan< Vash <unknown force

I think that unknown force is the collector
We have one unknown force, yes. What about a second unknown force?
Ok boo this asshole, I am assuming Tynan,
Vash may be gone but according to the lore pages, Vash gained much of his power from that metal and crystal that the smith-god gave him, the same metal now in Kendal’s bones and which makes up Kendal the sword, and the same gem which seems to be in the sword.
Can a godling successfully do battle with a god?
There’s only one way to find out: FIGHT!
Sorry to comment this really late (I didn’t have access to computer) but, I posted this drawing of the floofy squad that I drew for new year so if you want to check (and follow if have twitter) can, if you don’t that’s fine.

Ah yes, the traditional “murdering gods” part of the New Years celebration. A happy new murdering gods year to you too Red!
if the swords aren’t called thunder and lightening I will be very perturbed…
Man, Vash’s rescue just keeps getting interrupted by everything else, huh?
XD I think Mr. Angry Stormhair might be a major boss, Kendal probably needs to level up a bit more first 😉
Ack, my previous comment is supposed to be a reply to Patroclus77.
Oh Yeah! This guy was beaten by Vash and that’s why Vash is famous!
Tynan reminds me of Susano (Amaterasu’s destructive storm god brother in Japanese mythology who got exiled for making a mess of Heaven.)
TL;DR: Floof mcThunderdude uses sword! It is super effective! OHKO!
Cloudhead is like the epitome of floof hair.
