Oh, wait, Erin’s “We had to prioritize” comment makes me think that, while Erin was trying to murder Falst, Alinua was off grabbing the life lacrima, and now SHE’S trying to murder Falst…
Aww, poor Erin. I mean, great that he’s getting character development–admitting that you make a better distraction than main attack would take some humility–but still, that’s got to be difficult for him. It’s OK that you’re not the team powerhouse, Erin. We still love you for being smart and all around awesome.
Also, I was going through Red’s old trope talks, and in the Strong Female Characters ones, I’m positive Red was talking about Alinua at 0:32.
I don’t think it’s a develoment – as I understand him Erin never doubts the accuracy of his judgment, as long as he has all the facts. To acknowledge he’s the best suited for distraction would be as objective and dispassionate as considering himself an unsurpassed genius.
I think it’s an afterimage. You know, when you glance at the sun and there’s a green sun-shaped spot in your vision for the next minute. Still looks very?
Yay, teamwork! I hope we see them make complex plans that play to each of their strengths in the future. (Also, unrelated, I hope everyone has a great Monday. Or whatever day it currently is when you read this.)
Me, after catching up on the whole archive: What? No! Where’s the rest of it?

Oh… dangit.

And now we wait.
(Excellent story, btw, it’s quickly become one of my favs.)
I love how Erin keeps having moments that should be examples of his hubris harming him but he’s self-aware enough that he keeps avoiding the pitfalls (like when the void dragon tries to bait him or this panel).
Erin is rather distracting isn’t he? Glad he and Alinua did come up with a plan first, makes sense as otherwise Ali would have been first on the scene due to sensing Kendal.
Hell hath no fury like a healer scorned, I don’t see Alinua outright killing him but I’m still fearful for what she might recklessly do.
Cool X3 Just awesome :3
Oooh. Is this it? Is Wednesday gonna be the “omae wa mou shindeiru” page!?
I’m excited!
Same, I’m excited as well!

1. AAAAAAAAAAAA SUPERPOWERED ALINUA
2. AAAAAAAAAAAA ERIN WAS A DISTRACTION ALL ALONG
3. AAAAAAAAAAAA WE’RE GONNA GET A CLIFFHANGER
4. AAAAAAAAAAAA GOES FALST AS HIS SPINE BREAKS
5. AAAAAAAAAAA I love you all
5. AAAAAAAAAAALINUA

6. Aaaaaaa nants ingoyama, bagithi baba
AAAAAAAAA MAGE BATTLE
This brings a whole new level to my perception of vines
Ooooooh, Alinua can hold the lacrima (I imagine cos she’s a life mage)
Or, potentially, because she’s possessed by the primordial embodiment of life magic itself.
Well Erin, a lightning mage, could handle a lightning lacrima. And I must assume Dr. Jolon can handle his own life lacrima.
This one looks to be uninscribed; Dr. Jolon could’ve lent it to her?
Oh, wait, Erin’s “We had to prioritize” comment makes me think that, while Erin was trying to murder Falst, Alinua was off grabbing the life lacrima, and now SHE’S trying to murder Falst…
Kendal is definitely my favorite of the three
OH NO SHE IS HOLDING IT
FRICK SHE’S GOING TO BREAK IT
Hubris boy not full of hubris anymore? What is this, character development?
Could it be that our characters are smart, even? Sometimes, at least?
NOT IN MY WEBCOMIC
IT’S NOT YOUR WEBCOMIC!
IT’S RED’S WEBCOMIC!
AAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH

YES. “Noone looks good in their first draft.”

The dizziness affect thing in panel 2 looks great ?
I think it’s an afterimage. You know, when you glance at the sun and there’s a green sun-shaped spot in your vision for the next minute. Still looks very?
That look on her face does NOT inspire confidence. I get the vibe that this is abt to go downhill….

be careful not to add the single-page comment section rss feed ?
also I’m happy to not be the only one who uses it; what aggregator do you have?
“A better distraction” I’d say LAVA is a pretty good distraction
Also Falst is an idiot he took a lightning lacrima but not the Life lacrima
Aaaahh, I’m so scared for Falst, I hope nothing bad happens to him >.<
YUP, SHE’S GOING TO TRY TO KILL HIM
Whyyyyyyy?? You’re both overreacting on this!!
Alinua: Ok we need a plan, what are your skills?
Erin: Annoying people and getting reckt.
Alinua: Perfect!
Did she just yank him underground?
I think she just slam-dunked him so hard he made a hole in the ground.
Alinua looks scaryyyyyy
BABY was ACTUALLY Not Being Stupid!
I love him! He constantly subverts tropes of what we expect him to do!
Alinua: Are either of you good at jumping up and down and making annoying noises?
Erin: My time has come.
I love how Erin keeps having moments that should be examples of his hubris harming him but he’s self-aware enough that he keeps avoiding the pitfalls (like when the void dragon tries to bait him or this panel).
They actually had a plan!

TL;DR: Hubris floof was a distraction, Pink floof got the magic battery. Apparently she’s bio-magic-hazard proof.
this has made it so easy to chose my favourite humans and elves suck Godlings are great
OnO, she can be very scary.
