Aaah so instead of conjuring earth and fire Erin harnesses the earth and fire around him, as we see when he turns the ground under falst into lava. Makes sense.
Woohoo! This is awesome! (Ignoring the bit of Erin being stubborn)
Maybe by Falst’s “of course” maybe it’s that trope thing when the hero talks to the villain behind the other heroes’ back but then the other heroes drop in and are extremely pissed and the hero is actually getting through to the villain but then the villain is like you lier! Then the hero is all like guys chill but then they won’t chill
OH! Wow, I just noticed the new chapter! What d’you think will happen?
I’m guessing feral catboy’s lacrima spell goes horribly wrong due to interference from either Alinua or Erin… or it goes right but doesn’t do what he expects (or what we’re expecting).
But remember, Alinua is only at the “I can save you but it involves death” stage of her powers, if Falst is going to join the team I bet he becomes the monster for a bit (based off Kendal’s “monsters create themselves one atrocity at a time” statement) then they somehow convince him to not.
That makes sense. I’m pretty sure that Falst intends to use the Lacrima to become human, but he could become a Chimera instead; the spell seems very complex for someone with no magical talent.
Erin’s thought process must be wack
Hmm a feral catboy stole my book bag… yeah a metric butt ton of lava should fix the problem
Also, I love the “Of course” from Falst in the fourth panel, and how he always lands on his feet and arms, haha
Well, really his combative introduction was when he was in the caves, setting crawlers on fire. Does that count? It’s his magic, but Dark Floof was the one using it…
Throwing lava does look very cool, but it also seems risky considering that we haven’t seen the book bag since page 19. Erin could very well be destroying his stuff while showing off.
Erin was wrong about the Storm, and the Void Dragon, and Kendal’s species… and he still dives in headlong without listening to literally anyone else because he thinks he knows what’s going on. I love Erin but Gods bless him he’s got a serious case of Aesop Amnesia.
“Of course”, as in expecting this was all a setup by Kendal or that Erin would be back for him?
That lava, impressive as it was, seems to have died down already. I doubt Erin would just throw lava around carelessly so he must have made it so it only stays hot for a bit, I could see him being able to do that.
Though his sensible magic casting is offset by his arrogant assumptions of both Kendal and lion-boy, and we all know what happens when Erin get’s hubristic don’t we?

This can only end well.
Ooooooh boy Erin getting fancy with his dialogue too
what do you mean fancy hes just a fanboy repeating lines he read in a middle grade superhero book
You have a point there

That’s awesome X3 but why are the fighting for stupid reasons t.t
“Stop right there criminal scum! Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence. Your stolen goods are now forfeit.”
I knew it was lava!
Erin looking furious here ~~
I wonder if Void can take control of his rage ?
wait what is the opposite of stone?
that + water
There are no opposites. The all interact with each other in different ways.
Air? Air and water would probably make clouds 😀
Nice idea…
If I remember correctly Lighting and stone are apposed. They’re not opposites but the energies don’t mix
Hmmmm, Kendal blocks a hit for Falst, reminding Erin that he’s not really human either.
I just wanna say I adore the compare and contrast of the name of this chapter and of the next.

I think someone touches the Livermore, turns into a monster and gets saved by Alinua

Holy shit, Erin’s trying to straight-up kill him! That seems VERY OVERBOARD for a resolved theft, Nitwit!
And THIS being our introduction to his combative capabilities makes him look terrifyingly powerful…
Well, really his combative introduction was when he was in the caves, setting crawlers on fire. Does that count? It’s his magic, but Dark Floof was the one using it…
A) He was possessed, B) The Void Dragon wasn’t using Erin’s magic to anywhere NEAR Erin’s full potential
Oh shoot. Erin powful.
Throwing lava does look very cool, but it also seems risky considering that we haven’t seen the book bag since page 19. Erin could very well be destroying his stuff while showing off.
And he could accidentally piss off gleicann. He did say to not destroy his forest or something along those lines
Erin was wrong about the Storm, and the Void Dragon, and Kendal’s species… and he still dives in headlong without listening to literally anyone else because he thinks he knows what’s going on. I love Erin but Gods bless him he’s got a serious case of Aesop Amnesia.
reading this page while listening to rock music, makes everything VERY cool
Erin you do not know everything, shut up and listen for once! XD
Erin’s really channeling his inner sailor moon in that sixth panel
Erin: It’s too late Ferin, I have the high ground!
Falst: YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWER!
“Of course”, as in expecting this was all a setup by Kendal or that Erin would be back for him?

TL;DR: Round 3: Moar fight! Nerd mcNicetats finally gets to flex his nice tats.
Did Erin just…lavabend?
It took me a near-death experience to figure that out.
Alt text: yes, throwing a bunch of lava at your opponent could be considered overkill, but consider – Erin really wanted him to know he could do that
